The Atlantis Pet Shop in Miami, Florida was an excellent experience for both my pet and me. It is located in a shopping plaza near a McDonald’s in Miami Beach. As soon as I walked into the Atlantis Pet Shop I was immediately greeted kindly. My dog and I were treated very well, and that’s key to providing excellent customer service. When my grandmother came into town a couple weeks ago, she requested that we eat dinner at her favorite restaurant in San Jose, Original Joe’s. I was skeptical because I am not a fan of Italian food but it was completely amazing. As soon as you walk in the door you are hit with the decor. It is a charming little Italian restaurant, with mood-lighting and dressed up waiters. The host was very pleasant and our waiter was extremely helpful. He was upbeat and humorous and we never had to ask for something without him already having done it for us. The food, however, is what I would come back for. To start with, the bread was amazing. We even asked to take some home with us, and the waiter got it for us without any trouble. No one had a complaint with their meal, even those of us who don’t even like Italian food! It’s not often that the food is both big and good, but everyone got so much food that they had to take some home. I wish I had left enough room to try their dessert, but sadly I was too full. Thanks, Camp Jellystone, for a great weekend. The location is wonderful and you get a good feeling of nature, in addition to a sense of safety. It felt wonderful to relax and let the kids explore a little without worrying too much. This is really important to me because normally where I live I’m always worried they’ll get into some kind of trouble, but here we could all just hang out and enjoy some good old fashioned family fun. My wife and I took our two sons to Camp Jellystone in the Shenandoah Valley last weekend and had a great time. The weather was perfect and we felt so lucky to get out of city and get some fresh air. The location is nice because we were also able to visit Skyline National Park, which is nearby, and do the Skyline drive. Another activity nearby is Luray cavern. They are world famous and do not disappoint. The stalactites, stalagmites and other cave formations were awesome. It was great to see the wonder in my kids’ eyes as they looked at the fish market formation. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an affordable getaway for the whole family. For us it was easy because it is a reasonable drive from the D.C. area. Furthermore, the staff is friendly.
