Tuli Bistro is the best restaurant in Sacramento! My wife and I love when we find the little neighborhood places the locals prefer. This was by far one of the best meals we had during our month long excursion in Sacramento. Once we found it we had quite a hard time going anywhere else! Tuli’s is small and there is limited seating. You can’t call ahead to reserve a table so you may have to wait or sit at the bar. However, the wait is worth it!. Therefore, I would recommend going to Tuli’s with a small group (4 or less people). Although it is a little small, the atmosphere is great. They have a great and reasonably priced wine list and an even better seasonal menu. I’ve tried different variations of their risotto each time I was there. It is the best I have ever had! Tuli’s is innovative, has great quality service, a nice ambience, and doesn’t break the wallet when it comes time for the check. An Average meal for two including wine comes to less than $60.00. In a very unassuming location in Manchester, Corey’s Catsup and Mustard is a cool little place that boasts big burgers and live entertainment. One of the best burgers on the menu is the Rodeo Burger, which consist of a big, juicy burger topped with barbecue sauce, string onions and cheese on a hearty roll. You can’t go wrong with any of the sides either; the onion rings are big and crispy and the regular fries are tasty too. The sweet potato fries are the best I’ve ever tried and I have had them at many places all over New England. The portions are very generous as well, so two people could share one basket of fries. When I was looking for a place to do a few alterations on an outfit, this was the place that caught my attention. It is known as Designs By Rachele. This is a unique place and is not your ordinary tailor or alterations stop by any means. There is a little knick-knack store inside that consumes the entire floor. There are country decorations as well as more modern and contemporary ones. They have items with an old rustic look and many are handmade. They have something for every home’s décor. While being treated like a friend by the employees, I browsed the store while the alterations were being made. When the alterations were complete I was charged a very small fee and was told that if after wearing the outfit I noticed any issues to bring it back and they would be taken care of immediately. The outfit has been worn many times and I have not had any problems. After one fitting and a short wait the outfit fits perfectly and you can’t even tell there were alterations made! While I was waiting I noticed several pieces of art work from wreaths to signs to candles and such. There were so many different decorating styles. It was a great place to find an inspirational piece to decorate my kitchen and bedroom from. The knick-knacks were even reasonably priced and made of good quality. I recently went to 7W Bistro (aka Seven West Bistro Grille) with a group of co-workers for our holiday luncheon in Towson, MD at 7 W Chesapeake Ave. From the moment I stepped inside to when I left a few hours later, I was very impressed. The service was quick. The waiter was fun. The food was delicious… and the prices were incredibly reasonable. The restaurant looked so hip and trendy, I expected to have “sticker shock” when I looked at the menu, but I found myself realizing that with their lunch prices, my fiancé and I could afford to eat there ourselves! I tried several appetizers: the Old Bay chicken wings, the hummus, the calamari, and the mozzarella sticks. They were all cooked just right and the flavor was wonderful. My meal ended up being their chicken gyro. The chicken was cooked very well and the tzatziki sauce was very good. The tomato was fresh. It came with French fries, which were just another part of a simply amazing meal. I didn’t have room for desert, but I did have the opportunity to test their bartender on a simple drink. My Kahlua and cream was well mixed and it was a good size for the price (I’ve seen higher prices for smaller drinks at a lot of chain restaurants). Trapper’s Chop House is one of the most elegant restaurants in Parker, Colorado. The hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday 5PM to 10PM, Friday and Saturdays 5PM through 11PM. Other great dinner choices include steak Oscar at $35. This dinner features two four ounce steaks topped with blue crab and asparagus, served with garlic roasted mash potatoes. The stuffed pork chop and the seafood Alfredo are also tasty selections. Side dishes you can order include caramelized onions, sautéed mushrooms, creamed spinach, and lobster tail. Save room for dessert, because Trapper’s is known for its decadent offerings. You can choose the Chocolate Seduction, which is chocolate cake, with chocolate ice cream and chocolate syrup for $15. Warm apple strudel, New York Cheesecake, Cherry Cobbler, and Key Lime Pie all are excellent choices. These are priced between $8 and $9. My favorite item at The Loop Pizza Grill is the goat cheese, walnut and cranberry salad. It’s huge, delicious and fresh, and the chevre blends with the walnuts and cranberries into an amazing explosion in your mouth. My other equally favorite item is the tomato bisque. It’s creamy and savory, and perfect in the winter. The bisque is what I get when I want something lighter than a full meal. The Loop has some pizza toppings that aren’t common, so when I’m with a group that wants something different, I suggest one of the Loop’s pizzas. It’s especially good for vegetarians who want something out of the ordinary, like artichokes and roasted red peppers. The Loop also uses fresh portobello mushrooms, and as a mushroom lover I have to say, there’s no comparison between these delicious ’shrooms and the flavorless white ones that most places use (and don’t even get me started on the canned ones). The fresh portobello mushrooms really add something special to The Loop’s pizzas. The Loop also makes burgers and wraps, and they use some great toppings and ingredients for these, too. Blue cheese and cheddar cheese are both available, in addition to the previously-mentioned goat cheese. If you appreciate good cheese, you will really appreciate The Loop. They understand that not all cheeses are created equal, and different cheeses go better with some foods than others. The Loop also has desserts and makes milkshakes. I’ve been told the milkshakes are yummy, and they really look wonderful, but I’m always too full by the time I’m ready for dessert. I’ll have to make a special trip to try one. The Loop also has a respectable selection of beer, with more variety than you might expect for a restaurant this size. Beer drinkers will easily find something to like here. The upstairs deck is nice in the summer, and is a great place to kick back with your friends and a bucket of beers. But the highlight of this place is definitely the salads.
