During a recent visit to Chicago with my family, we encountered the Comedy Sportz Theater. While the venue is not located in the greatest of neighborhoods, it provided us with an awesome night of entertainment. At first glance, my parents were a little apprehensive in taking the younger children to the comedy theater, but then they learned that the theater offered shows with clean humor. Even though the comedy was “family friendly”, it provided many laughs for us all and proved that comedy doesn’t have to be vulgar or inappropriate to be funny. For those of you that think comedy isn’t comedy without raunchy and offensive material, the Comedy Sports Theater also offers “adult” shows. In addition, Comedy Sports hosts numerous other events. For example, on May 28th, ComedySportz4Kids is calling on all the funny “little ones” in your family to get involved and get onstage. The comedy venue is open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays with an 8pm show all three days and an additional 10pm show on Fridays and Saturdays. Tickets are usually priced around $22, but it would be wise to check there website for exact prices, especially if you are attending a special show.
