Jandris and Sons was not always a concrete manufacturing business. In 1920, Jandris was in the business of construction and salvaging demolitions, which eventually grew to be a concrete block production business. Since then, they have been meeting the needs of landscapers, contractors, and architects. The founder, Adolf Jandris relocated to the United States from Austria. When they first began producing bricks for small local contractors, the demand for bricks increased, and Jandris eventually became the leading block manufacturer for the area. Eighty years later they are a very prosperous business producing several different styles, shapes, and colors of blocks. The most popular, or commonly used blocks, are the smooth face and the split face. Another popular one for curbside appeal would be the keystone blocks. Another part of Jandris and sons business is producing ground face blocks, which very few companies in this business do in the United States. These blocks are mainly used for interior applications. They have over thirty different colors to choose from. This process is done by sending the blocks through a machine that grinds a little bit off the face, which reveals the different stones that gives these unique blocks their characteristics. The next time you have a commercial or private project, give Jandris and Sons a call. The next time you need something from the phonebook, give globalYP.net, online yellow pages, a try.

Ed Smith and Blue Moon Electric of Athens, GA (170 Annes Ct. to be specific) have been wonderful when it comes to fixing our old wiring as well as installing new fixtures. They have added new indoor and outdoor outlets, replaced recessed lighting and even fixed ones that I thought might need replacing. Ed examined the situation, figured out the problems and took the time to explain not only what the problem was, but what the different solutions were, the approximate costs, benefits, and disadvantages of each option, and let me decide what I wanted to do. The guys at Blue Moon have been very honest and made recommendations that have saved me a bunch of money in the short and long term. When they could, they also bought supplies from locally-owned hardware stores to support the local economy. Every time I have scheduled service with them, I have been given an accurate arrival time. The one time when a prior job held them up, I received a phone call before my scheduled appointment and was given the option to reschedule or push our time back a bit. I have appreciated their professionalism, their honesty, and their cost of services. Blue Moon is the first company we call now if we need or want any electrical work done! The first place you should check when you need something in the phonebook should be globalYP.net, yellow pages that are online.

It is where he does his work. And please don’t think that he does not know what he is doing, he is very hardworking and knows his business well. I hired Green Expectations to transform my yard last year. I was very very surprised by how professional the company was and how well the work turned out. When I chose Green Expectations I was working with Larry. I wanted to go with a small owner run company, because I like to support local companies. Green Expectations was fairly priced, did excellent work, and gave me a great value and service for my money. I could not have had a better experience with them. From now on I will let them handle all of my landscaping needs. The Crew Showed up on time and was dressed neatly. They also cleaned up all their messes. The crew leader was a sweetheart of a man who I think was named Adrian. He did fantastic work!! Their crew was in uniform and very predictable and reliable. For the most part, I can’t even say I knew they were there half the time. One of the big pluses was that they always parked on the street and never blocked my driveway and nothing was ever damaged in the course of their work. The only con is that I’m probably going to have to spend more money with them to make the front look as good as the back of the house does now. These guys were amazing. When my wife and I finished renovating our kitchen we knew that there was still something missing, which is when we decided to install a tile backsplash. We knew that we wanted to work with a local firm, one that provided top quality materials and customer service but at an affordable price. That is why after speaking with several of my neighbors, we went to Tile Time, in Farmingdale, NY. From the moment we stepped into the store, we were treated with kindness and respect by all members of the staff. Our questions and concerns were of the utmost importance, and they were very patient about working with us to find the perfect tile. With the help of the Tile Time staff, we picked the tile that was not only the right color, but the right size to fit perfectly into our kitchen. They also worked well with our contractor, delivering the special order tiles on time, with the correct color grout. They even called after the work was done to check to make sure that everything went smoothly. That is a level of customer service that is hard to find today, and it ensures that when I renovate my bathroom next year, I will be getting all of my tiles from Tile Time, in Farmingdale, NY. The owner of Dann’s Decorating and Grimston Roofing is Dann Grimston and he does amazing work. He will do anything that is needed. If you get an estimate, Dann will automatically give you a lower estimate and better work. He has been doing roofing and carpentry as a career since he was sixteen. He also is highly skilled in automotive problems as well. Located at 815 Stoddard Ave in Wheaton, IL, this business can paint indoors and outdoors, fix your roof, replace your roof, shingles, and much more. It seems to me that any problem, Dann will fix. He is also very considerate. If you treat him with respect, then he will come back to do any work that you need done, at a reasonable price. Without Dann my house would be in shambles. He also has other businesses that he works with. Therefore, if there is something he cannot do then he can always call one of his other contacts. This business will travel around all of the suburbs of Chicago as well as the Northwest corner of Indiana and the Southern end of Wisconsin. With a history like his, I would not go to anyone else. John Shields Construction did a great job repairing the flashing on the front and side of our house. After a couple fierce windstorms last spring, the trim on our siding took a beating and was bent backwards or torn off completely. Some of the pieces were blown away or so badly beaten up that they were unusable for repairs. We called John and asked him if he could do the job of replacing and repairing the flashing pieces. He came and inspected the damage and found that the materials used were specialized pieces used by our homebuilder on our house. These pieces were no longer being sold so, he used similar materials and made adjustments in order for it to work. He did quality, efficient work. This could have been a tricky job because of the way he had to modify the materials and because he had to do careful work matching the existing flashing on the house to the new flashing. He did a great job at a reasonable price and we would definitely consult him again for our home repair or building needs. My husband is planning to replace our carpet with hard wood flooring soon and plans to call John for that project. Final Touch Painting & Decorating is definitely one of the most professional and talented painting companies out there. I recently purchase a 110 year old Victorian home that was in desperate need of repair. I shopped around for many estimates before I decided to go with Final Touch Painting. I have to say they were the only company that provided me with a booklet of credentials which not only had copies of their Insurances and Licenses but pages upon pages of references, with phone numbers. I knew when I met with the owner that this was a company I would definitely trust. Another bonus was the beautifully typed detailed estimate that was emailed to me, that same evening. The price was not the cheapest but not the most expensive either. They came right in the middle. After we hired them, the wonderful, polite men came everyday for 2 months and were very neat and clean. Every single day they worked very quietly and neatly and at the end of the day they made the house look like they were never even there. The 62 day restoration of my home went down without a hitch. My home is awesome, the 110 year old plastered walls look flawless, and the inside of this home looks like it should be in a magazine. The outside of my home is amazing as well. The Victorian details that they had suggested to do made my house win the “Home of the Year” award in my neighborhood. I cannot stress enough how much this company means to me. Don’t stress the next time you need something from the phonebook. Save yourself time, and a headache, by going to globalYP.net, yellow pages that are online.
