The Waterfront Lodge, Marina & RV Park In Onalaska, TX Is Wonderful

Posted by Keri W. on March 08, 2010
Sports & Recreation, Travel & Public Transportation / No Comments

The Waterfront Lodge, Marina & RV Park is in the heart of Lake Livingston. It’s a 23 room motel that has kitchenettes in each room with refrigerators and microwaves. The rooms are extremely clean and tidy. They have cable television and wireless internet as well. You can get a room with either 2 queen beds or 1 king bed (same price). The rooms are large at 450 sq. ft. There is also an RV Park, many of their sites are waterfront sites in a beautiful park setting, and each site comes with full hook-ups. Their rates for such a beautiful spot on the lake are very reasonable. This is a great place to bring your boat and do some fishing. They have 2 boat launches and 16 boat stalls to keep your boat in, and many of these have lifts if you want to keep your boat there long term. This is a great place to catch Catfish and Bass, there are many tournaments on Lake Livingston every year. There are many acres of land around the lodge to take walks through and there are areas to set-up barbecues and picnics. There is also a great place to go swimming – perfect for the kids. You can also go walk out on their pier and watch the sunset at the end of a long, fun day. I would recommend this spot to anyone looking to get away for a weekend for some fun and relaxation. Set Sail With Your Love Aboard The Odyssey In Chicago, IL, This Valentine’s Day!

Odyssey CruiseWhat could be more romantic than an intimate dinner cruise on Valentine’s Day? If you happen to live in the Chicago area, you’re in for a treat! Odyssey, a luxurious cruise vessel, is offering a 3-hour dinner cruise this Valentine’s Day, complete with live music and dancing, complimentary champagne and a keepsake photo. Having dined aboard Odyssey on Chicago’s Lake Michigan, I can attest to the fact that this is an experience you will remember for many years to come. There were several things that I enjoyed about my Odyssey experience. One was the amazing food (and trust me, you will be presented with enough food to fill you up for an entire week!). Another was being able to take a mini cruise without having to save hundreds of dollars or take vacation leave from my job. I am one who loves the water, and any opportunity that I get to enjoy the waves and the breathtaking scenery is one that I truly relish. Then there is the fact that even though Odyssey tends to pack in quite a crowd during special occasions, the setting is still quite intimate to where you can focus 100% on your significant other and bask in the splendor of the moment. If you’d prefer to dine in the afternoon so that you can be home by the evening, you can opt for Odyssey’s 2-hour brunch cruise, which is sure to be every bit as enjoyable and is less than half the price of the dinner cruise. Odyssey cruises are also available in Boston and Washington, D.C. and reservations can be made either by phone or online. Romance In The Dining Room At The Dan’l Webster Inn In Sandwich, MA

Dan'l Webster InnCape Cod isn’t exactly the first place that comes to mind when I think of great spots for a winter getaway. When my husband told me to pack an overnight bag for a surprise Valentine’s Day dinner, I wondered where in the world he was going to take me that could be reached by car rather than plane. I was charmed from the first moment I set foot inside The Dan’l Webster Inn. The restaurant is separated into multiple different rooms, making it feel very intimate. Décor is luxurious but not dated or worn, and the soft lighting and candles are just right for romance. Staff are attentive and happy to provide knowledgeable food and drink recommendations. And the food…wow! Dan’l Webster’s menu leans heavily towards classic dishes prepared exceptionally well. There are of course plenty of seafood options (this is the Cape, after all) along with hearty beef, duck, lamb, and even vegetarian entrees. Save room for dessert, as I found this the hardest course for which to select only one item from the mouth-watering array of choices. If you want to really surprise your Valentine by starting the holiday with romance (or if you stay overnight at the inn), don’t miss Dan’l Webster’s incredible breakfast menu. Request a seat in the Conservatory room, and you’ll want to linger over your coffee forever, feeling the sun warm the room and staring out the glass walls at the gardens. That is, if you can take your eyes off your Valentine! To find other great places this Holiday, visit globalYP.net, a local online directory.

Briar Patch Bed & Breakfast Is A Beautiful Place To Have Your Wedding In Middleburg, VA

http://www.briarpatchbandb.com/pop-gold.htmBriar Patch Bed & Breakfast is located in Middleburg, VA and for those unfamiliar with the Northern VA area, that’s horse country – lots of green rolling hills, old homes, mountain views, and of course, farms! Briar Patch is located on almost 50 acres of land and includes the main house with 8 rooms, a private one bedroom cottage, and a beautiful reception facility called The Fox Den completed in 2007. It was one of several locations my husband and I considered while planning our fall wedding. It is owned and operated by a husband and wife team, Ellen and Dan, and after touring the property, we were sold. Our wedding ceremony was held on the front lawn with around 80 guests in September 2007. We were given use of several rooms in the main house for dressing and preparation. The reception followed immediately after in the Fox Den. Our wedding took place on a Sunday, and the fee we paid included exclusive use of the property from 3 PM Sunday to noon Monday, use of two rooms for changing, accommodations for six guests to stay overnight, and of course use of the grounds and the reception facility. They have a number of other packages available, which you can see in detail on their website. Everyone wants their wedding to be the perfect and I have to say that ours was. Dan and Ellen were always available to answer questions and help us make decisions leading up to our big day, and Dan was on site during the wedding to take care of any questions or concerns that might arise. My husband and I definitely plan to celebrate some of our wedding anniversaries there! See what else is out there with globalYP.net, yellow pages that are online.

Brookhirst Farm Bed & Breakfast Is Beautiful And Relaxing In Snowville, NH

I stayed at Brookhirst Farm Bed & Breakfast in September 2006 on a family vacation with my husband, parents, sister and brother in law. The property, in Snowville, NH, is owned and operated by a husband and wife (George and Victoria, with a cute little dog named Joe Joe!) and is located on 50 acres of woods that back right up to the Presidential Mountains. There are three bedrooms that accommodate up to 6 people, but whether your group includes 2 or 6, the entire place will still be yours. It was perfect for us with three couples; we took turns staying in the Captains Quarters, which was the largest room, with a king sized bed and a wall of windows overlooking the mountains. There are also two full bathrooms, a living room with fireplace (wood is provided), satellite TV, and a refrigerator. The price of the rooms ($85-$110 per night, per couple) includes breakfast, which is homemade by the proprietors. It was WONDERFUL – we had bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, hash browns, ham, hot chocolate, etc. We spent probably an hour or so just visiting with George and Victoria after we finished our meal. During our stay, we went blueberry picking at Foss Mountain with a college buddy of my dad’s, and brought the blueberries back to the B&B. The next morning, George and Victoria used the fresh blueberries we had picked to make mini muffins! The purpose of our trip was to visit college friends of my dad in the area, so we spent most of our time during the day doing that, but there are a variety of outdoor activities like hiking and canoeing in the area. Mount Washington, which we did visit, is also relatively close, and we found a nice mini-golf course on our way back from there. Our evenings at the B&B were spent visiting with the owners, playing games, and watching a little football by the fire! It was an extremely enjoyable stay and we all wished we had more time there before moving on to visit relatives. I would highly recommend it, especially to those who love to frequent B&B’s! Ha Bob’s Market Makes Getting Gasoline A Charming Experience In Lampe, MO

Posted by Keri W. on January 06, 2010
Products, Travel & Public Transportation / No Comments

Ha Bob’s Market is a wonderful place that caters to your daily need of gasoline. It is located in the Table Rock Lake area near Branson, MO in Lampe. This is a very beautiful area of the country. Because of its location, many locals and travelers stop by. Because of its old fashioned gas pumps, you must first go inside to pay. As you enter, you will notice that it is clean, cute, old fashioned, and a charming place to purchase your gasoline. There are also some grocery items, sodas, and snacks as well as other items to choose from. They have some homemade snacks too. The owners work there and are very personable. There are pictures of the locals above the counter where you pay. If you get to know them, they may put your picture there too! You will leave this gas station smiling because of the great old fashioned service you receive that is so uncommon these days. Although there are a small number of gas pumps, surprisingly, the vehicles come quickly in and out. Because of this, the line is not too long, if there even is a line. They offer different types of gasoline. It is quality gasoline. You will not hear a ping in your engine from this gasoline like you do when you go to some gas stations. Save Some Cash With Classic Motel In Dallas, TX

Posted by Keri W. on January 03, 2010
Travel & Public Transportation / No Comments

Whenever I travel one thing that bothers me is paying eighty or more dollars to stay in a motel each night. I travel to Dallas often on business or to visit friends, when one time on accident I found out about a nice motel called Classic Motel. The name is horrible for a motel if you ask me, but they have some excellent motel rates. At a little above forty dollars for a nice, clean, air conditioned room it is unbelievable to me. The rooms are not small ether there roomy and have a nice firm bed to sleep in and they even have a fairly nice TV. There is easy access in and out of the motel when you need to drive somewhere, which is really nice. Also to my surprise, for the price, it’s even quiet at night and you there’s not much of a difference compared to an expensive place other than you will have more money in your wallet. The employees, including housekeeping, were all very friendly and helpful. They were there when I needed them and away when I did not. For value and comfort I would have to be out of my mind not to recommend this place. It’s a great motel for anyone. Anyone can use globalYP.net, yellow pages that are online.
