There aren’t very many good places to get an authentic slice of New York style pizza in California, but people who are lucky enough to live in or around Berkeley, California have the opportunity to grab a slice whenever they want. Arinell Pizza is one of my favorite pizza joints in the city, and is absolutely the best choice for anyone who wants a slice of thin-crust pizza in the Bay Area to enjoy. They also have a location in San Francisco, but I find the Berkeley one to be consistently good more than the other. The restaurant is extremely sparse, and the only people who work there seem to be metal-heads with long hair and tattoos. They’re very gruff, but in a playful and friendly way. They might seem like they’re a little bit scary or rough around the edges, but they’re actually very nice and just want you to pay and get it over with (and why waste time when you have such delicious pizza waiting for you?).
