Calico Jack’s in Gainesville is one of the many restaurants you can find packed on any Gator Game day. They have an amazing number of televisions in the restaurant, and you would never guess that the place is actually three stories tall! They have 2 giant big screen TVs and a big following for UFC fights as well. Their atmosphere is great for any game/fight, and the food isn’t too bad either. They are known for their Wings and Oysters, but also have a wide variety of sandwiches and burgers as well. They even have a live band on the patio on the weekends. This is a great place for someone to have their birthday/Christmas party at, especially if they are a sports lover. There is an Oyster Shuck bar as well, for those who just want to sit and have a drink. There’s always ample seating when one can’t find a ticket to go to the game. The vegetarian menu isn’t that vast, but I recommend asking for a veggie quesadilla with fries on the side. They have excellent specials, including a buy one get one draft.
