Frankie Bones Restaurant & Lounge in Asheville, North Carolina is great steak and seafood place with amazing food and a lively atmosphere. The theme is a sort of Rat Pack, fifties and sixties elegance, with a lot of time period memorabilia decorating the walls. There are tons of black and white photos of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin and the music invokes a Vegas heyday feel. The food is great, with a wide variety of fresh seafood and certified Angus steaks. The Salmon Oscar and coffee marinated rib eye are two favorites. Salmon Oscar is grilled salmon topped with a dressing of lump crab meat and asparagus, with hollandaise sauce. A very rich meal, but really delicious (you can add the Oscar topping to any entrée; it’s great with steak). They have an amazing martini and dessert menu. You can even toast marshmallows or make s’mores right at your table. It is kid friendly, with a reasonably priced kid’s menu. Sunday is family night, where each kid under 12 (accompanied by an adult) eats free with the purchase of an adult entree. They also have an amazing Sunday brunch menu and offer an early bird special every afternoon starting at four o’clock, running until quarter to six. For $13.99, you get a choice of soup or salad, a choice of ten different entrees, and a soft drink. Appetizers go for about eight dollars each. Entrees range from cheaper pasta dishes for about fourteen dollars to the more expensive steaks and seafood that can run twenty or more, depending on portion size and the market price of the seafood. The relaxed and unique atmosphere, the excellent food, and varied menu are worth it though, even if just for special events.
