My wife and I had heard nothing but good things about Henri’s in Longview, so last year we decided to give them a shot on Valentine’s Day. I called about a month in advance and made reservations for one of their private booths. I figured because it was Valentine’s Day that the place would be swamped but I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had everything under control by providing plenty of staff. There’s nothing worse than having to wait 45 minutes for your meal on Valentine’s Day. The first thing I noticed when we were taken to our seats was the wonderful atmosphere. The lights were dimmed, candles lit and the tables sprinkled with real rose pedals. It was definitely a great first impression! I ordered the Chicken and my wife ordered the Roast Duck. They were both absolutely delicious. The meat was tender, the vegetables warm and buttery and the mashed potatoes were just like Grandma had made them. Not to mention the free cheesy garlic bread they serve you while you wait for your meal! I could load up on that stuff all night long! I have since been back to Henri’s two times and both were a blast. They have a very friendly and outgoing staff and besides having a great restaurant to take your wife, they also have a bar to hang out with your friends with live music from time to time.
