The newly refurbished City Hotel Bar & Grill in Northern Cambria, Pennsylvania has brought a new spark of life into this former coal mining town. Totally tearing out the insides of the former Palace Hotel, the new owners of the City Hotel Bar & Grill have rebuilt and modernized the hotel rooms, expanded the dining options and given area residents another reason to drive to Northern Cambria. Although there are only 16 guest rooms in the hotel, they have been equipped with modern amenities, including high speed internet and flat-screen televisions, so tourists no longer have to drive to the larger cities of Ebensburg or Indiana for comfortable accommodations. The menu in the City Hotel’s restaurant has a good lunch and dinner selections, including appetizers, desserts and a children’s menu. The prices are reasonable, and if you have any special dietary needs, the kitchen is more than happy to try to accommodate any requests. They use fresh, local fruits and vegetables when available and work with area farmers to purchase beef and poultry. Although it seems like the City Hotel Bar & Grill is out of the way of major tourist attractions, this little town is convenient to Altoona, Indiana and Pittsburgh, PA. It is also close to numerous vacation spots, including Prince Gallitzin Lake and area golf courses. The City Hotel Bar & Grill has breathed new life into Northern Cambria, at a time when it was sorely needed. To find more great places in your area, visit globalYP.net, a local online directly.
