The Pines in Chelsea, Vermont is an excellent bar in a peaceful and rural setting. The bar is right in the middle of downtown Chelsea – a town with plenty of quaintness and charm. It may not be the most high-tech bar that you’ve ever been to (no HDTV’s here), but it has two pool tables and someone that is always willing to play. Usually for St. Patrick’s Day you can get green beer and they also serve plenty of Guinness – which is on tap of course. The bar is usually filled on St. Patty’s Day with plenty of people ready to have a great time. The jukebox is always cranking out plenty of music and the bartenders will always serve until closing. The kitchen has some excellent fare as well so you won’t leave hungry. It wouldn’t be a bold statement to say that The Pines is the best bar in Chelsea – it is in fact the only bar in Chelsea and it is always full of the best of people. Becketts In Berkeley, CA – An Authentic Place To Play Irish

Just walking into Beckettes pub and restaurant on Shattuck in Berkeley and you step into Dublin, Ireland. Not just on St. Patrick’s Day, but any day. You get hearty food ranging from meat pies, stews and corned beef and cabbage. This is no dive. Come for the beer and stay for the food! All of it is tasty and made to order. The beer selection is broad, ranging from cool craft brews to the standard Guinness. The inside is dark and not my favorite place to spend a sunny day, but the absolute perfect place for a winter or rainy day. There are a couple great fireplaces to dine by and an upstairs area that holds the heat well. On weekends and special weeknights they have great entertainment, often in the form of comedic musicians found in Ireland. The location is also just right because you can take BART straight to downtown Berkeley and stumble back after you have had your requisite number of St. Patrick’s Day beers. They don’t open until late afternoon and find that Cal game days are very busy. Avoid parking in downtown Berkeley at all costs! Becketts is a great place to break into song for St. Patty’s Day! Ireland Four Courts is an awesome Irish pub located in downtown Arlington right by the Courthouse metro. Though you can get a great Irish experience any time of year, Four Courts is known for great St. Patrick’s Day festivities and is especially popular in mid-March. When St. Patrick’s Day rolls around, Four Courts really gets into the spirit, hanging green lights and festive clover decorations. Events are held throughout the week, usually kicked off with Irish karaoke or an Irish-themed trivia match. Trivia is popular at Four Courts but especially the St. Patrick’s trivia, which attracts Ireland “experts” from as far away as Fredericksburg. Irish-themed prizes are handed out, and trivia is held early to make way for later events. Four Courts does not have a cover charge and always brings in a live band. The live band usually plays traditional Irish music and the performers dress-up in goofy outfits and dance. It attracts crowds, so it is recommended to get to Four Courts early! The doors open for St. Patrick’s Day as early as 10 AM and they have Irish food and great drink specials. Patrick McKeane’s Pub in south St. Louis is the absolute best spot to hang out on St. Patrick’s Day, or any other day for that matter. It is a terrific neighborhood Irish pub and will be rocking on St. Patrick’s Day. First, the bar itself is awesome. There are usually plenty of tables (might be tough on St. Patty’s Day though). The service is always top-notch as drinks are quickly filled back up. The prices are fair and Happy Hour specials are always the best around. All of your St. Patrick Day favorites will be on hand including Guinness, Smithwicks and shots of Jameson. Second, they have food. Unlike many other places around town you don’t need to leave Patrick Mckeane’s on St. Patrick’s Day. A large menu is on hand with plenty of your St. Patrick’s Day favorite including Irish stew, chips, briscuit sandwiches and an absolutely delicious reuben. I can’t say enough about the reuben as I had two last year on St. Patty’s Day and probably could have had a third. The corned beef is piled high and the swiss cheese is perfect. Lastly, the atmosphere is always fantastic and was unbelievable last year. Live bands sometime perform classic Irish songs, but there’s always the jukebox to keep the party going. St. Patrick’s Day is almost upon us. St. Patrick’s Day has always been one of my favorite holidays and many others feel the same way. Main Street in Seal Beach, California houses some of the most authentic Irish pubs in the state and every March 17th crowds of people swarm the small town to partake in the spirit of the holiday and feel truly Irish. Of all the pubs in this small town, none is better known or more authentic than O’Malley’s. Although it has changed hands several times, it has always been owned and operated by an Irishman. Nowhere else have I ever been that compares with the atmosphere of O’Malley’s. Step off the street and through the pub’s doors and it appears that you’re stepping into a small pub in the heart of Dublin. A fire is always burning in the heath and the walls are lined with a rich dark wood reminiscent of many pubs I have frequented during my trips through the Irish countryside. The beer flows green from the tap and the food is prepared by an authentic Irish chef. During the height of his fame, Mark McGuire would always wear a baseball cap from O’Malley’s during his interviews. He was a fan and could frequently be seen at the pub enjoying a pint and taking in the atmosphere. O’Malley’s celebrates Saint Patrick’s day all weekend with the bar opening from March 14 – 17 at 7 AM. St. Patrick’s Day can be celebrated anywhere. But if you really want to celebrate it like an authentic Irishman, O’Malley’s Pub in Seal Beach California is the only place to be. Mac Murphy’s in Ridgewood New Jersey is the best place on earth to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. While it may not be the biggest place to celebrate, it will surely be the best time that you can have at a bar. Whether you are in the mood for great music, conversation, darts, some beer, or a hamburger, you have certainly come to the right place. The best part about this bar is that it is just steps away from the New Jersey Transit train station in the town of Ridgewood. Avoid having to designate a driver, and hop on mass transportation! The bar walls are covered in interesting and extremely rare sports memorabilia, so you may spend a lot of your time amazed by just looking at the walls around you. This is a genuine Irish Bar/Pub/Restaurant. On St. Patrick’s Day, go with the traditional Irish meal of Shepard’s pie. If it happens to be nice weather day on St. Patrick’s Day, you will also have the priveledge of enjoying the outdoor dining area, which always adds to the atmosphere. The Tilted Kilt’s Definitely A Kilt Lifter – Green Beer And Leprechaun’s Never Looked So Good!

After going up the street to R.T.O Sullivan’s for their St. Patrick’s Day 2009 bash, I soon realized this place was over crowded and wouldn’t have fun there. My friends and I decided to travel down the road to The Tilted Kilt where I discovered heaven. This place wasn’t so packed that I couldn’t get a beer, but not too slow that I got bored. The Tilted Kilt has an array of draft and bottled beers, including their own Tilted Kilt Signature Draft. In honor of Saint Patrick’s Day, they have tons of green beer. There were plenty of places to stand outside, on the patio, and even found a few bar stools to sit on. The bartenders and servers were excellent that night! (Big tips no doubt). I never waited more than a few minutes at the bar waiting to order another drink. The parking lot has beer trucks, bars, a picnic area, and other various tents set-up. There was even live music which helped with the ambiance. Finding parking was not too terrible. It may take a few trips around the parking lot to find a space, but it is well worth it. There was a short line to get in. The bouncer was really nice! I will definitely be returning to The Tilted Kilt this year to have some more St. Patrick’s Day fun in Mesa. Come Celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day At Sneakerz Sports Bar & Grill In Albuquerque, NM

Sneakerz Sports Bar & Grill is by far the best place in Albuquerque for volleyball, drinks, food, karaoke, and fun! The bar offers many forms of entertainment – ping pong, volleyball, arm wrestling, foosball, arcades, darts, air hockey, and shuffle board. The waitresses and bartenders are always pleasant and welcoming to everyone. The diversity of the crowd keeps the excitement going all year long. The bar offers drink specials every day of the week, as well as food specials most days. The food is delicious and the variety of options is huge! I recommend trying one of their amazing (and massive) calzones that are freshly cooked every time! The pizzas and calzones are made from scratch, so it will take longer than most bar food but it is well worth the wait. While you wait on St. Patty’s you could always try an Irish Car Bomb, Black and Tan, or a pint of Guinness. If you feel brave maybe play a game of volleyball or ping pong with one of the regulars. Sneakerz Sports Bar is a great place to catch any sporting event happening or to meet up and just hang out with friends. Attending special events like UFC fights are affordable and really exciting.
