Retail Stores

Tuttle's Sea Horse Shell ShopMy and I recently completed our twentieth vacation to Sanibel Island, Florida. Of the many retail venues on the island, Tuttle’s Sea Horse Shop was the most fun and laid back souvenir shop that we visited. Bob Tuttle and his staff offer the most complete selection of top-rate clothing, jewelry, nautical gifts, and island knick-knacks that you can find. I guarantee that you will not leave without a bag of newly-purchased “treasures” in your hand! I personally bought one of his hand painted benches to use on our deck in Chicago, as well as Sanibel Island tee shirts and an authentic gold coin salvaged from the wreck of the Nuestra Senora de Atocha, a ship that sank off of Key West, Florida in 1622. Just when we thought that Tuttle’s couldn’t possibly stock another item, we found a new collection of cooking sauces and accessories, including Bob’s personal recipe for Florida’s best-tasting hot sauce. Bob is also the world’s greatest fan of Elvis Presley and Hopalong Cassidy. Concert posters, pictures and other memorabilia blanket the shop. Be sure to visit the Shell Shop website at www.tuttlesseahorse.com for a virtual tour of the store and an online catalog of its inventory. Major credit cards are accepted for online purchases. Lastly, don’t forget to ask Bob about his granddaughter’s gymnastic abilities. I would not be surprised to see her representing the United States at a future Olympics event!
