The Little Soap Shop located in a tiny alcove on 36th Street in Astoria, New York is a place you could easily look past without noticing. However, on a nice day, with their door open, you can definitely smell the wafting scents of vanilla, lemon, rose, and a dozen other delicious elements down the block. I love St Cloud VIP Nail & Spa, it is by far my favorite nail salon in St Cloud! From the first time I visited I was hooked! The owners are so nice and very helpful, they remembered me from the first time I came in. They always take the time to chat and make me feel welcomed. Every employee provides impeccable service and I have never had any complaints with the service I received or the way I was treated. Each customer receives their own box of brand new supplies so that everything they use on you is clean, sanitary and has only been used by you. They store the box for you and it’s there every time you come in. They also provide free drinks (tea, coffee, soda, wine, margaritas etc.) and give fantastic back and neck massages after they finish with your nails. The store is very clean and upscale looking, but the prices are reasonable. They have a “menu” with many different types of treatments, such as a Chocolate Pedicure, waxing, and selections for kids! I recently visited Ulta for the first time in Goodyear, AZ. I didn’t know much of what to expect. I knew they carried high quality products, but I was blown away by the well lit store with very organized cosmetics displays and “booths” where they will show you how you can use the products. On one side they have the regular drug store brand cosmetics, and on the other side the high quality and professional cosmetics. Everyone in the store was very helpful and willing to help me find the things that I wanted and that would work right for me. I was glad because I don’t use a lot of makeup and I wasn’t really sure where to start. I was helped by a few different people who all helped me choose some products I was looking for. Plus, pretty much every cosmetic had a tester available so you can see the colors, textures, feel, and smell of everything, which I love! I hate coming home with a product to find out it is paler than what I expected, or I don’t like the feel or smell etc. They even have tissues and mirrors available so you can try it on yourself. Turning Point Beauty College is the BEST deal for getting a haircut. My girls have been going to this beauty school to get their haircuts for years. The staff is wonderful and because it’s a Beauty College there are professionals to check and make sure you get the perfect haircut at a much better deal than you would get for the same service in a salon or spa. The shop is beautiful and always so clean. The girls that do the haircuts are always friendly and helpful. They treat the girls kindly and the management always comes over to see how everything is going. It’s refreshing to see a staff with such nice customer service. They do it all.
