Rubin’s Deli in Brookline, MA, has some of the most delicious dishes in the Boston area. With its menu entirely kosher, many religious Jews turn to Rubin’s as a fun place to eat out. However, make no mistake, the food there is amazing in its own right. This is evident by the fact that all kinds of people, regardless of their religious background, make it a point to stop in for a bite to eat. There are a lot of Boston schools in the area so don’t be surprised if you see this small restaurant packed with college students. BostonMagazine named Rubin’s Best of Boston 2008 Deli. Rubin’s is known for stuffing their cold cut sandwiches high, their delicious pickles, mashed potatoes, ground beef, and meat knishes. Their two sizes are large and overstuffed, so you know you are getting the best and the biggest. Their menu is diverse enough that almost anyone can find something that they will like. When I visited there I got a hot corned beef sandwich and it was absolutely delectable. I cannot wait until the next time I have an excuse to return to the Boston area. Aside from their menu, Rubin’s also does a lot of catering and catered events (if that is something you are interested in). With a relatively inexpensive menu, this makes a great lunch or dinner destination for anyone. Find more destinations with globalYP.net, yellow pages that are online.

Pho Lemongrass Has Fantastic Vietnamese In Brookline, MA

http://www.flickr.com/photos/secretlondon/2910355164/Pho Lemongrass is one of the best Vietnamese restaurants I have ever been to. Compared to many other Vietnamese restaurants, it is a little pricey, but the food is great. Some of the foods they offer on the menu were unfamiliar to me, but our server was very helpful on explaining everything. The only small problem I encountered was that they were very crowded at night, but that was understandable because the food was worth the wait. When we got to our table, we ordered appetizers. We wanted to try the “Fresh spring rolls” because it sounded interesting. The spring rolls were different from what we would usually order but it was very tasty. It had vermicelli, shrimp, and pork rolled in rice paper with peanut sauce for dipping. Then came our entrée, I ordered the “pho dat biet” which was a beef noodle soup filled with different kinds of meat. It was a huge bowl of noodles and I didn’t think I could finish it, but as soon as I took the first bite I was hooked. To my surprise I cleared the whole bowl, which was rare because I’m a petite girl of 98 pounds. I would definitely return to this restaurant and recommend it to all my friends and family. Kookoo Cafe Is The Best In Brookline, MA

http://www.flickr.com/photos/littledebbie11/3162605650/Kookoo Cafe is not an average coffee shop. It does more than beat the tired, contrived cheeriness of Starbucks and the stale, bitter coffee at Dunkie’s or halve the prices of more upscale coffeehouses on Newbury Street and those littering the North End. Kookoo creates a peaceful and relaxed Scandinavian or perhaps Alpine atmosphere that the Boston area seriously lacks. From the wood paneled walls and hardwood floors, to the friendly faces of the servers, it is hard to believe that this is not a portal to some time long past or a land far away from the bustle of Brookline Village; stepping through the doorway truly feels like a warm invitation to a relative’s home in the mountains of Europe. As great as the service is, the coffee is even better. Kookoo offers a full menu of espresso bar drinks as well as light and dark roasts and even a decaf option. Brewed in small batches and always tasting fresh, the drinks are never more bitter than a perfect cup should be, and the smell of it alone is intoxicating. A full menu of teas ranging from greens to blacks to reds and a variety of herbals rounds out the hot beverage menu. In addition, Kookoo serves cafe fare in a variety of lunch items: delicious soups, salads, and sandwiches served all day long with fresh breads and ingredients. For dessert, there is even an entire case of tasty in-house pastries for some of the lowest prices in the city. The most incredible thing about this place, though, is the patronage. Forget the snobs hoarding tables with sprawling laptops and electronics at Au Bon Pain or the peppering of Cambridge cafes, the majority of customers at Kookoo are small and charming Brookline families stopping by for a glass of milk and a brownie after school. Unbelievably this is a largely unheard of gem only frequented by the immediate locals. For a phenomenal cup of coffee or a light lunch, ride the D an extra couple of stops to Brookline Village for an amazing experience. But give yourself some extra time, you may not want to leave! Pomodoro In Brookline, MA, Authentic Italian Food – You Won’t Leave Hungry!

PomodoroPomodoro is an Italian restaurant located in Brookline, MA. It is conveniently located on Harvard St about one block from the Brookline Village MBTA train stop. It sits in the center of Brookline and is a restaurant that can’t go unmissed. The restaurant is a small elegant room with wicker seating and close tables. There is a bar in the center in the shape of a horseshoe and the walls are filled with art referencing Italian cuisine and culture. The staff is unbelievably friendly and sometimes surprise you with a complimentary dessert without even asking. The staff is small, but that makes it great. Their water is amazing – all their water is in a pitcher filled with oranges and mint that soaks throughout the day – this gives it an unbelievable taste that makes you want more. The menu is very vast and gets really creative using the finest ingredients like truffle oil and hard to find mushrooms. Their rigatoni bolognese is a great item on the menu. All of Pomodoro’s food is authentic and they use fresh ingredients. Reservations are a must, this place is usually packed and people stand around at the bar when the seats are filled. Go there with that special someone, your friends or even some family. To find more great places in your area, visit globalYP.net, a local online directory.

Get In Line And Get Your Food At Anna’s Taqueria In Brookline, MA

annas_taqueriaAnna’s Taqueria in Brookline, MA (at 1412 Beacon St) is an amazingly different Mexican food restaurant. It’s a fast paced, assembly line style, dining experience. They specialize in burritos and soft shell tacos but you won’t find ground beef taco meat in this restaurant. Anna’s has some of the best quality ingredients that I have ever seen from a restaurant. They have great rice and beans that are made fresh every day. They have four different types of meat to fill your burrito, including steak, chicken (regular or grilled), Chili Verde (smoke pork), and Al Pastor (grilled pork). The salsa and guacamole are made fresh daily as well and some other filling options include lettuce, sour cream, and hot sauce. The burritos are very large and quite cheep considering that one burrito is enough to fill up just about anyone. The service is very fast, even when it’s at its most crowded you never have to wait more than ten minutes. Overall they do a very good job at getting you the food you order in a timely manner. Some other good menu items are the quesadillas and the chips, with either salsa or guacamole for dipping. If you’re looking for a quick bite or an awesome burrito, then Anna’s Taqueria is a great choice. If you’re looking for the convenience of an online directory, then globalYP.net is a great choice.
