So the only thing you really need to know is that Teitel Brothers Wholesale Grocery is hands down the best Italian specialty shop in the area. I love that it is wall to wall packed with amazing olives, cheeses, meats, pastas, mushrooms and amazingly delicious food. Every time I go in I have to restrain myself from buying just about everything in sight. The colors and smells are absolutely intoxicating, and the whole shop is a constantly filled with the hustle and bustle of satisfied customers. They have a great deal on olive oil: $20 for a whole gallon of the extra virgin variety! I also always buy my jarred artichoke hearts here because they are only $1.20, which is way cheaper than the grocery store, as is the arborio risotto. Sometimes things are expensive, like dried porcini mushrooms for $35 a pound, but they are selling all of their Italian goodness at market price. Basically, this is an awesome place to pick up anything that you could possibly want for Italian cooking. The staff is also incredibly helpful and are always offering samples if customers are thinking of buying something new. This is an amazing place to buy all your favorite Italian food products! Tria is a one-of-a-kind restaurant that is part wine bar, part cafe and part eatery. The food is fresh and unique. Best of all, it’s affordable. They serve a variety of snacks all between $3 and $6, such as fresh white bean dip with baguette, spiced almonds, and several types of bruschetta. Additionally, you can get all sorts of sandwiches and salads that perfectly pair cheese, sauces and fresh produce for a delicious flavor combination. Tria is best known for its wine selection. Rather than simply sorting wine by reds, whites and blushes, Tria’s menu breaks these down by taste – sparkling, smooth, bold, etc. In addition, they offer a large selection of artisan cheeses and craft beers. Best enjoyed on a sunny afternoon or the evening twilight, Tria has a warm and open atmosphere with comfortable and elegant seating indoors and out, in the heart of Center City. The restaurant is small but cozy, with light wooden furniture and a beautiful bar. The large front windows remain open on summer days, so patrons can dine al fresco, while being treated to a view of the busy cityscape unfolding around them. Tria is the perfect date spot, great for grabbing a drink before dinner with friends and a relaxing place to sit with a cappuccino and the paper on a weekend morning.
