Video Games Etc. Has Excellent Deals In Greenfield, MA

I am a huge fan of video games, but I have had bad experiences at many of the large video game chains. Thankfully, my experience has been nothing but great at Video Games Etc. I am thrilled to have such a great local games store to do my shopping at. Video Games Etc has an excellent selection of new games. I’m almost always able to find what I’m looking for. They have an especially great selection of 360 games, which is perfect for me as that’s the console I own. They also carry many older games as well, and I’ve been able to find some rare gems there on more than one occasion. The prices are always very reasonable. Sometimes games are a few dollars more than they are at some of the chain stores, but I don’t mind paying a little more to support a business that I like. I have also found some very good deals on games there, especially used ones. Newer used games are often much cheaper there then at big name stores. Video Games Etc also offers a few other things of interest to me. They have a huge selection of used movies, and they also carry old comic books. It’s a lot of fun to browse through these things to see what I can find. The owner is very friendly and never pressures you to hurry and make a purchase while you look at all the shop has to offer. I’d definitely recommend Video Games Etc to any gamers in Western Massachusetts. If you’re not a fan of video games, I recommend checking out the used movie selection. There’s something for just about anyone at this store. Looking for something else? Find it faster with globalYP.net, an online directory.

Get Lost In The Thrill At Over The Edge Games & Comics In Fairhaven, MA

over the edge games and comicsOver the Edge Games & Comics is a gaming, comic and more store, located in Fairhaven, MA. I am into comics and it is my regular LCS (local comic store). They have a great selection of new comics that come in every Wednesday. They have a pull list service for their regular customers, but they have a great selection for anyone who just might happen to drive by the store. Over the Edge often has a sale on back issues and trade paperbacks. While I have been in larger stores that seem pretty cold, the employees at Over the Edge Games & Comics always greet everyone and try to help out anyone who might be looking for a particular book. Although I am a comic person, it is refreshing to see the many people who visit this store are interested in gaming. I do not know about gaming all that much, but they have many different games and tournaments going on throughout the week. They also have a huge Magic group that plays there often. It is amazing to see what some of these figures and cards sell for. They are selling them at a reasonable price, however, made apparent by their loyal following. This store also offers to buy and sell video games for a customer. All in all, Over the Edge Games & Comics is a great place to visit! Find Great Collectibles At Third Planet Comics In Houston, TX

third planet comicsThird Planet Comics is a comic shop located in the southern part of Houston, TX. The building is an interesting shade of light blue. Parking is located at the rear of the establishment. I have not really ever had a problem with overcrowding, so this is always a plus in my opinion. Once you walk into the store, you are always greeted by one of the helpful employees. This is one of Third Planet’s strong points- employees. This business’s employees are friendly and helpful. I have never encountered rude or pushy staff members. They are knowledgeable without being obnoxious. The atmosphere of Third Planet is laid back. I enjoy shopping here. There is a nice selection of merchandise, as well. From action figures to comics, you can indulge your sci-fi craving without logging on to a website and having to wait for the mailman. The prices are very reasonable. The comics are arranged nicely, rather than stashed away in some dark dusty room. I have managed to snag a few great issues of some comics I have been eyeing for a while. They accept the universal currency of cash and also the ever-popular plastic credit cards. If you are ever in Houston, stop on by. You will definitely be happy you did! To find other unique shops like this, visit globalYP.net, an online directory.

Turbo Toast Comics, A Collector’s Paradise In Columbia, TN

Turbo Toast ComicTurbo Toast Comics is probably the best place in Columbia, Tennessee, to go to find just about any collectible. They have hundreds of comic books to pick from at any given time, many that are no longer in print and worth at least the price tag that Turbo Toast puts on them. If you enjoy reading the classic comics, or want to trade in some of your own for a little cash or credit, check this place out. In addition to their overwhelming collection of recreational literature, Turbo Toast Comics also has hundreds of collectible action figures, models, and display pieces that you will have a hard time finding anywhere else, including websites like eBay and Amazon. Classic Star Wars pieces, Gundam models from every series, old-edition Marvel action figures, and star ships from the Star Trek Universe will give any hard-core collector a giddy feeling. If that isn’t enough for you, they have dozens of DVD collections for various Anime and American cartoon series. There is very little in regards to comic books, American cartoons, Anime, fantasy, and science fiction that you won’t be able to find at Turbo Toast Comics. I give them four stars out of five. Main Vein Comic Books Makes Finding Comics Fun In Greenfield, MA

http://www.flickr.com/photos/tyreseus/370375869/It’s hard to find a good local comic shop these days. It seems like more and more comic retailers are going out of business. As a huge fan of comics, I find this very disappointing. Luckily, Main Vein Comics continues to be a great place to purchase comic books in western Massachusetts. Main Vein Comics may be a small store, but they still have a great selection. In addition to the latest DC comics and Marvel comics, they have a very good selection of horror comics and other interesting comics. I am frequently introduced to new comics while browsing their wall. They also have a lot of trade paperbacks and comic toys and merchandise. The only person I have ever seen working there is the owner, and he is wonderful. He is clearly such a fan of comics and so knowledgeable about them. He seems happy to talk to customers in his shop and introduce them to new comic books. I really like the idea that I’m supporting his store. If you’re a fan of comics or know someone else who is one, I really recommend checking out Main Vein Comics. The owner should be able to help guide you to some really good purchases. He’s definitely done that for me! It may be small, but it’s still a very special comic shop. Find more hidden gems with globalYP.net, yellow pages that are online.

The Great Escape Has Great Collectibles In Nashville, TN

Walking into The Great Escape in Nashville, Tennessee is like going up into your attic and finding a hidden treasure trove of nostalgia. It just feels like how a store that specializes in comic books and collectibles should feel – crowded with stuff, pleasantly musty, stocked with forgotten treasures. The Great Escape, at all of its locations, avoids the antiseptic, cold, museum-like atmosphere of some collectible stores. While the comics are all carefully bagged and boarded, the whole vibe of the place encourages you do dig through, to explore, to sift through all that’s there to uncover a rare gem. The music selection, as one might expect from a Nashville-based store, is wonderful – lots of imports and rarities mixed in among the cds, cassettes, and LPs. Old magazines, toys, and games also contribute to the feeling of nostalgia, as if you might suddenly rediscover that cherished item from childhood that your mom sold at a garage sale without asking you beforehand. That’s the kind of place The Great Escape is. GlobalYP.net is the kind of place where you can find tons of local directory listings online.

Captain Comic In New Hyde Park, NY Is King Of Comics

Posted by Keri W. on September 27, 2009
Arts & Entertainment, Retail Stores / No Comments

captnEven as an adult, I have not outgrown my love of comic books. That is why I am glad that I live near Captain Comic, a great comic book store located in New Hyde Park. One of the best things about the store, is that in addition to their huge selection of titles that cover many different comic book genres, is that the clientele is very mixed, providing a good sense of community within the store. However, there is more to this family run business than just comic books, it is also a great place to purchase science fiction, and really entertainment in general, with tons of memorabilia and collectibles. Over the past few years, I have purchased model kits and vinyl figurines. While the selection is not huge, they have great prices. Finally, Captain Comics also sells a large number of customizable card games, both starter packs and boosters. There are also usually plenty of people hanging around ready to play a game, making it a great way to pass the afternoon. The best part about Captain Comic is not what it sells, however, but rather the people that run it. They are very warm and welcoming, and do a good job of building not just customers, but also friends. So the next time you need a comic, or anything science fiction related, be sure to visit this great store. The next time you need a business listing, find it online with globalYP.net, an online directory.
