Baby N Me is located in scenic downtown Oak Harbor, in one of the original brick shops with large display windows. Lining its walls are rows of gently used clothes sold on consignment. You can also find gently used baby gear. Besides consignment items, the shop sells a variety of new merchandise as well, ranging from adorable onesies that have phrases like “Daddy’s New Laptop” screenprinted on them, to sweet little designer booties. There is also a large selection of the award-winning Melissa and Doug toys, including puzzles, shape cubes, trains, and tool kits. There are also things for expectant mommies: a small selection of maternity clothes and those yummy ginger lollipops for morning sickness. The owner of the shop is reserved by nature, but also friendly and helpful. As you would expect, she is very good with babies and small children…no matter how tired or cranky they are. I’ve heard some complain that the prices are too high, but considering its location in a very rural area, what the owner likely pays for shop rent, and that this is the only shop of its kind in Oak Harbor, the items are probably priced accordingly. Also, her selection of new items includes brands of the highest quality that aren’t available just anywhere. All in all, I’d highly recommend this shop to anyone expecting a baby. You may not buy much, but you’ll get some good ideas and the owner should be able to answer any questions you have. You can get lots of local listings online at globalYP.net.

Anne Tiques is one of my favorite places to go shopping in Tuscaloosa, AL. Miss Anne keeps an interesting inventory of antiques, furniture, vintage goods, consignment items, and Alabama memorabilia (Roll Tide!). If you need a quick accessory for an outfit, she has a large selection of vintage and costume jewelry to peruse. Also, Miss Anne has a large selection of resale children’s clothing and toys for very low prices. Her prices are very reasonable, and her inventory is always changing. Miss Anne likes to talk to all her customers, and often I’ll tell her what I’m looking for (even vague things, like “something kind of organic that I can put on a wooden shelf by my plants…”) and she’ll know exactly what I’m looking for. In any given visit, I might browse through Depression glass compotes, current fiction and romance books, or vintage Pyrex bake dishes. I have bought several pieces of framed artwork for decorating my apartment, furniture, Alabama dishes, necklaces, and antique cast iron dishes for my dad. Not to mention some great vintage gifts for my very picky friends. Anne Tiques is a great place to shop, too, if you are new to Tuscaloosa and need some accents for a new dorm room or apartment. The affordable prices make it a must-stop for someone shopping on a budget or looking for a fun little item without the splurge costs. Elements is a wonderful consignment shop located in historic downtown Owosso, MI at 117 W Exchange St. Owned and operated by Lorie White, this wonderful family business buys, sells and trades tons of cool things – ranging from antiques, jewelry, art, clothing, movies, music and more! I even managed to snag an original Michael Jackson record from the 80’s just a few months before his death, ironically. This is a wonderful family store and has tons of potential gifts that would be perfect for someone you know, if not many people. Elements is located smack dab in the middle of downtown Owosso, so it is fairly easy getting there and no hassle at all to walk on a nice day. Among consignment, Elements offers other special activities on a weekly basis, including yoga, meditation and book readings. Having personally attended several of these, I can recommend them to you with confidence. If you’re ever visiting from out of town, this store is quite the catch and would be wonderful to visit. There’s also a close-knit sense of community around here, so you’re bound to thoroughly enjoy yourself. So make sure to stop in the next time you’re in the mid-Michigan region and say hello to Lorie and friends! Maria Fe’s Upscale Consignment is a small store located in Malvern, PA. This store sells second hand clothes in very good condition. Most of their items are made by high-end designers. For example, I just bought a pair of Keen winter shoes for fifteen, and I saw them online for ninety-five dollars. I was lucky because this pair was brand new. I also bought a pair of summer Dexter shoes for five dollars and the regular price online is eight-four dollars. These were ninety percent off because the summer season was coming to an end when I purchased them. They also sell used jeans for eighty dollars. This may seem pricey, but this cost is very low considering the quality of the merchandise. They sell merchandise, such as a pair of Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses or a coach handbag. The good thing of this store is that it also sells used designer clothing for a reasonable price. During the winter, they sell Mink Coats and very expensive winter jackets. Another good thing is that you do not have to bid to buy designer clothes like you do in other second hand stores. You just buy the clothing! Sandy’s Savvy Chic Resale Boutique is the best place to go in Gainesville for gently used furniture and clothing. It is a spacious store that is very neatly organized (unlike many consignment or thrift stores where everything is jumbled onto shelves and hangers). This store has an enormous selection of children’s and adult clothing, accessories (purses and jewelry), children’s toys, furniture, and household odds and ends. Near the back of the store is the drop off area for consignment items. Sandy’s most often buys your items directly from you for cash, rather than consigning them, which is a nice benefit for the consigner (cash in hand). While you wait for the staff to review your items, you can take the time to look around. You never know what treasure you might find on a shelf or in a cabinet. I have made many purchases there. There are framed prints that appear brand new. There is a large assortment of DVD’s. There is a section devoted primarily to designer purses, many of which are in perfect condition, at over 50% less than retail prices (I saw Coach and Dooney and Bourke when I was there). This is truly a great store to shop in, and the staff is very professional. I highly recommend it! GlobalYP.net is a great place to find online yellow pages.
The Rerun Shoppe, located in historic Fredericksburg, VA, is a conveniently located in downtown. It is approximately fifty miles South of Washington, DC. The Shoppe has been there as long as I can remember and they take consignments of quality ladies and children’s clothing, accessories, shoes, and some other items. The Shoppe is locally owned and operated and there is a very warm feeling whenever you go there. The same salespeople have worked there for years, and they are always polite and friendly. The great thing about the Rerun Shoppe is you can never be quite sure what you will find, they often have quality used designer clothing and even some brand new items for sale. The prices are some of the best I have found, and may even be better than estate sales or yard sales. If you are looking to save a little money, but not cut back on the quality, the Rerun Shoppe is just the place for you. You can even make a little money if you have some items you are interested in consigning there. They offer very reasonable terms and you have the opportunity to make money on things you no longer want or need. They are a real treasure and you will be glad you took the time to stop in and check things out. You’ll be glad when you stop by and check out globalYP.net, yellow pages that are online and time saving.
Better Wheels is a used car dealership located in downtown Harrison, New York. Steve is the owner there, and they have been in business for over twenty years. I bought my first car there actually, a 1999 Jeep Cherokee, and it was in mint condition. He has known my parents for years since they have bought and traded in four or five cars with him throughout the years. Steve is extremely knowledgeable and can really help you with anything. He is always looking for used cars for people, so if you have something you are looking for, he may be able to find one for you. He offers many services such as buying your used car, selling you a used car, repairing, and washing. He also offers to sell your cars on consignment, where he will take a small commission for selling your car, but you still get a bit more than if you were to sell it to a dealership. Steve has an excellent workforce that gets the jobs done very quickly. I have had cars washed and fixed by him and he had them done in a day or two. I have bought from him in the past, and only moving away from here would make me stop buying from him. Start using globalYP.net, online yellow pages.
Down Under Consignment Shop is small consignment shop located in New Castle, PA has so much to offer. When things are tight and you want to shop, you should visit the Down Under Consignment Shop. When I walked into Well Suited I was greeted as I entered with a friendly hello and a smile from the sales associate. They were very helpful in helping me pick out a suit, including measuring the trousers’ waist and inseam for me. The sales associate was very honest with what looked good on me and what did not; they helped me pick out items that were in style and fit well. I was amazed on their knowledge of clothing and fashion. While shopping in the store I was told that the store was a consignment based retail store. I never would have guessed that. The store was very clean and well organized. They had their items sectioned off by style of clothing, sized and colorized. It made shopping very easy and hassle free. Everything was in great condition and priced at about a third of its original retail price. They carry in their store every major designer from Tommy Bahama to Versace and also have accessories such as ties, belts, designer shoes and jewelry. I got some great clothes for an even better price. After the purchases I made in Well Suited I will never pay full retail again. In today’s economy you’d be crazy to shop anywhere else! The Consignment Cottage has two family owned and run locations—one in Sewickley and one in Moon, both just thirty minutes outside of Pittsburgh! The Moon store carries decent fashions, like Abercrombie/Hollister and delia*s/Forever 21, and only accepts gently worn clothes in recent styles, so no sifting through any 1990s nonsense. Some of my favorite pieces for this Fall are even from there! As far as styles go, they carry anything from jeans to skirts to dresses to tops and jackets to formal attire, but they do try to keep items seasonal. That being said, each season they send the unsold items upstairs to clearance where many great clothes can be bought for only a couple dollars each. From my experience, the Moon store usually has a fairly wide selection of sizes available, from Girl’s to Juniors’ to Women’s, and they also have a reasonable amount of Boy’s and Men’s styles. Aside from clothes, they also have many charming home décor odds and ends, like jewelry stands, paintings, etc. Their book collection is inexpensive and ever-growing and would be a great place to pick up a yummy new recipe book for a low price. As far as accessories go, they have some purses and jewelry, all of which has a more vintage feel to it. Last time I checked, if interested in selling clothes, an appointment must be made with them first. During the consultation, they’ll decide which pieces of yours they’ll take, and if the items sell within 90 days, you’ll receive a certain percent of their profit. Overall, the atmosphere of the store is very friendly. It can be slightly intimidating at first, with a little clutter due to the fact they have such a huge inventory. I’d still highly recommend a visit there because they have many great styles and the best prices around! You can find many local business listings online at globalYP.net.
