Miss Donuts in Fullerton, CA is a quaint little donut shop that is open 24 hours. It is a great place to visit when you are craving a sweet, yet warm snack. A couple runs this establishment, with the wife running the morning shift and her husband assisting customers in the afternoon. Both of these individuals are very accommodating. One of my favorite local downtown coffee shops is Benny’s Donuts located in Owosso, Michigan. My friends and I love going to Benny’s whenever we can. They make a mean coffee brew and it’s extremely cheap! The employees are so courteous and polite and check on you to make sure you’re comfortable. It’s a nice place to go to kick back and relax with your friends. Benny’s is open for twenty-four hours a day, so needless to say countless hours have been spent there at wee hours in the morning, all of us sitting together telling stories and reminiscing on life together over coffee… something so simple yet so very special. Benny’s is located in the downtown area of Owosso, near West Town. It is easily in walking distance of just about anywhere else in town, making it an ideal hang out spot. For anyone who visits Owosso in the future and loves visiting local businesses or coffee shops, this is definitely the one. There’s such a friendly, warm atmosphere that anyone can enjoy. On top of the great and inexpensive coffee and donuts, they also have several food items available per request. So next time you’re in the Mid-Michigan area, make sure to stop by Benny’s for a good time and great coffee! What is it about a world-famous Round Rock Donut that makes it absolutely irresistible? Is it the yeast risen dough? What about the perfectly sugary glaze? Maybe it’s the unique yellow-orange color. Well, whatever it is, both locals and tourist alike cannot get enough of them, and you can be sure to find a line out the door of the Lone Star Bakery as early as 4 a.m. every morning! Since 1926, the residents of Round Rock, Texas have had the privilege of being just a few minutes away from mouth watering Round Rock Donuts, and those who aren‘t as lucky to live in Round Rock have gone out of their way to sample the sugary breakfast treat. Though the Round Rock Donut is the most recognized and most sought after item on the menu, the Lone Star Bakery also has a wide selection of cookies, cakes, pies, pastries and other yummy baked goods that are sure to please. Staffed with experienced decorators, the Lone Star Bakery also takes orders for cakes for any occasion, including weddings and birthdays. I have been a patron of the Lone Star Bakery since I was a young girl, and no matter how many varieties and contending doughnuts I’ve tried, none compare to the perfection of the yellow goodies in Round Rock. The wait in line is always worth it as soon as I take the first bite of my freshly made doughnut, cookie, or pastry. Martin’s Trailside Express at 168 Toddy Drive in East Earl, PA may first appear to be just a 24 hour gas station and convenience store. Upon entering the establishment, however, one quickly finds that the store is much more! There is a fresh salad bar that is always clean, several self-serve food options, a mini-grocery store (with many items necessary for camping in case one has forgotten something for a local camping trip), fresh locally baked pastries and donuts, and my favorite feature… a snack bar with a large variety of grilled foods, pizzas, and delicious macaroni and cheese. The food is so good, my children ask to stop there instead of a fast food restaurant. Martins’ Trailside Express has booths so that patrons can seat themselves and enjoy their meal or snack. The coffee and soda has free refills. There are very clean bathrooms, as well as showers that can be “rented” for traveling long distance truck drivers, who can also rent a parking space for an overnight stay. The store stocks many truck and auto parts, as well as other items which might be needed while traveling, such as medication, maps, and oil for your car. The gas prices are very competitive within the local area and patrons to Martin’s Trailside Express can earn “gas rewards” at the local Shady Maple grocery store to be applied at the gas pumps, in essence making this gas station the best deal in town. They also sell/refill propane tanks, and sell off-road (dyed) diesel for trucks. I even found out on my last visit that they sell postage stamps and have an outgoing mail pick-up, great for the local campers to mail their postcards! My family has been going to Donut Wheel, in Cupertino, CA, for as long as I can remember. We go after church every weekend and I’m glad to say that over the years it hasn’t changed one bit. New businesses and apartment complexes seem to pop up continually. Stores close and are made over. But the Donut Wheel has been a constant in the area. It has the best donuts around, too. Not only is it family-friendly, but I love that it is also somewhat of a “late-night study center” for local high school students. It is open late, serves great food, but is also smallish and family-owned…what more could you want? In terms of specific items on the menu, I love their donut holes in particular. They are much better than Dunkin Donut or any other large chain’s donut holes (that I can think of anyway). Admittedly, anything you order off the menu is probably great. I haven’t had everything, but their old-fashioned donuts are really good, so are their twisty cinnamon donuts, and now they even have ice cream, which I’m sure is great too. Not only is everything always fresh, but the prices are very reasonable too. I love the Donut Wheel! Find more hidden gems in your neighborhood with globalYP.net, online yellow pages.
Turner Donut Shop is one of the best donut shops around! They open at 5am and close at 2pm, so you have plenty of time to stop in and have a donut with your coffee. They make all of their donuts from scratch and there is such a wide variety of flavors. Not only are they the best donuts around but they are also super cheap! You can have a donut, coffee and go back for a second one, all for under 2 dollars. Every Friday at my job we have “Donut Friday” and we always go to Turner Donut shop. It’s been around for a long time and I don’t think it’s going anywhere. Chain store donuts don’t even begin to compare. At Turner Donut Shop they also have great breakfast sandwiches that they make right in front of you. The only thing I wish is that they were open later so I could stop in at night as well. I usually go for coffee at Starbucks but that is only because I can’t go to Turner’s at night. If I could I would never go to Starbucks again! The staff is also very friendly and helpful. You always leave with a smile on your face. So if you’re in the Bradenton area, make sure you stop in to this delicious shop and enjoy some fresh coffee and the best donuts you’ll ever eat! No matter what area you live in, make sure you stop in at globalYP.net, an online directory.
Every other Saturday morning we have donuts for breakfast. When we first moved here I did not have an idea where to find some really fresh ones because we don’t like the grocery store kind. Then, a lady I met at work told me to give Delight Doughnut right here in Lexington, Nebraska a try. So, the next following Saturday morning my daughter and I went to check it out. We were greeted by the wonderful scent of freshly baked donuts and by a friendly lady who worked there. There were so many donuts that we did not know which ones to choose. The variety was huge. We saw raised donuts, bars and twists, pretzel shaped ones, cake donuts, devil’s food donuts, the old fashioned buttermilk kind, donuts filled with jelly, peanut butter, cream cheese and custard. Aside from donuts, there were all kinds of different baked goods available. There was an assortment of different muffins like banana nut, blueberry, strawberry and ginger. Freshly baked croissants and pastries were also on display. As for beverages, the options were great too. Regular, skim and chocolate milk were available, and for the coffee lover you had regular or decaffeinated java, cappuccino and a verity of gourmet flavored coffees to choose from. Delight Doughnut has become our favorite place to go to on Saturday mornings. There, you can always count on everything being fresh, friendly service and reasonable prices. Honey Dip Donuts, located in Northborough, MA, is truly one of the best coffee shops in the area. There are a few reasons that I like it. First of all, the food there is amazing. Their breakfast sandwiches, bagels, and muffins are the best I have ever had, not to mention that their coffee is amazing. Unlike some other breakfast places that I have been to, their breakfast sandwiches are made right when you order them and made with real eggs on the spot. They don’t use frozen patties either. Second, the prices are great. The prices are a little cheaper than Dunkin Donuts, and because the food and coffee are both better I think that this makes them a great value. Third, this place is not as popular as some other places in town so there is never a long line. You can go in there early in the morning and there is usually no wait at all. Finally, the people that work there are very nice and try hard to make you happy and a repeat customer. I have even received free donuts and muffins there! They may not have any fancy coffee types like lattes, but when it comes to good old fashioned coffee, Honey Dip Donuts is a pleasant surprise. You’ll be pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to find local businesses when you use globalYP.net, an online directory.
For my family Sunday is a day of morning mass, Sunday Dinner and NFL football. Before any of these things take place though, Sunday morning brings us Mighty Fine Donuts. It’s a tradition that was part of my wife’s family long before I joined the family and I see no end of the tradition in sight. Mighty Fine has been in Erie, PA for longer than anyone I know can remember. When I arrived here to stay in 2002 there were several locations, but now, unfortunately, we have only one location to choose from, but thankfully that one location is going strong. Mighty Fine is one of those rare family owned businesses that have managed to weather the tough times and tough economies while building a clientele that is loyal to a fault. I know personally I have sampled the donuts from other locations around the city and I while I have enjoyed some of them, they haven’t really been able to stack up to the taste of a Mighty Fine Donut. It’s not just the taste mind you, although they are doubtlessly the best, but it’s also the comfort in knowing the Mighty Fine Donuts have been made in the same Parade Street location by the same people for many years. In the city of Erie, tradition is a much-valued commodity and I can’t think of anything more traditional in Erie as Mighty Fine and its wonderful donuts. Stop using a traditional phone book and wasting your time, start using globalYP.net, an online directory, instead.
