A Roll Of Modern Tradition At Banzai Japanese Restaurant In Sacramento, CA

banzai japanese restaurantBanzai Japanese Restaurant is a small place tucked into a strip mall in the Greenhaven neighborhood of Sacramento, CA. Don’t be fooled by what you see from the outside. Inside, the walls are painted with bright colors, the tables and chairs are attractive, and there is a great Sushi bar in front. The menu is extensive with a large variety of Sushi. Banzai features many specialty rolls, and also puts on a great presentation when you order Nigiri. We recently ordered Tobiko, which featured the roe dyed black, green, and the traditional orange. Besides Sushi, Banzai has many noodle dishes. Customers can choose between Udon or Soba noodles. Banzai has many featured lunch and dinner combinations and specials, as well as kid’s plates. The prices are reasonable; the most expensive dinner combinations that contain 3 separate items, plus rice, salad, and a fried dumpling cost under twenty dollars. Sushi rolls vary from about seven to fifteen dollars. The service is organized and the employees were very friendly and polite. They readily agreed to create a combination dinner for me that was not on the menu. We will definitely return! An Infusion Of Flavor At Chinnar Indian Cuisine in Berwyn, PA

chinnar indian cuisineFinding a bona fide Indian restaurant is hard enough without going into a major city; even then, the fare is usually some sort of Asian fusion catered for the masses. But for Main Line suburbanites in the know, Chinnar Indian Cuisine in Berwyn, PA offers authentic dishes seven days a week. I have visited numerous times for dinner! However, I intend to make an earlier arrival at the soonest opportunity in order to take advantage of their daily lunch buffets. Everything I have ventured in trying has never disappointed. The best part of not knowing what I am trying is that it practically ensures something new with every return visit. Of course, some items have become part of my staple additions: vegetable samosa and pakora for appetizers served with mulligatawny soup is the perfect preamble to the coming entrée. I have a difficult time choosing my favorite main dish, but I always lean to their lamb dishes, particularly the lamb vindalu – a hot and sour curry flavoring cooked into tender pieces of lamb that practically dissolve in your mouth. My fiancée is bound to take some of my dish, so I order something new for us both to share as well. Her favorites usually are any of the biryanis (shrimp, chicken and lamb), but likes the vegetarian dishes as well. We always recommend this place because the service and the food never disappoints. Come dine here with friends, family, and dates who have a sense of adventure! To find more restaurants that serve ethnic food, visit globalYP.net, an online directory.

Dual Perfection- Great Food And Beer At Bosco’s Nashville Brewery in Nashville, TN

Posted by Jordan G. on June 15, 2010
Eating & Drinking Places / No Comments

boscos nashville breweryNashville, TN has the luxury of having two great combination restaurant/breweries within walking distance of each other – Blackstone and Bosco’s. While Blackstone is great, Bosco’s Nashville Brewing has the edge in terms of food. Nestled in the heart of the charming little neighborhood of Hillsboro Village, right near Vanderbilt University and Medical Center, Bosco’s offers creative, fine cuisine and excellent beer brewed on the premises. The food at Bosco’s is very good and reasonably priced. You might start dinner with an order of smoked duck spring rolls with Szechwan chili sauce, or an abundant order of delicately breaded fried artichoke hearts dusted with parmesan. Of the entrees, standouts include the Wood Oven Planked Salmon, always perfectly seasoned and cooked, and the Smoked Double Cut Pork Chop with a wonderful chile and coffee bean barbecue sauce. Pizzas, a house specialty, are cooked in a brick oven and topped in an array of tempting ways, ranging from Santa Fe shrimp to the very nice pesto, spinach, and artichoke-centered Calzone de Bosco. Pastas and sandwiches are also both interesting and high quality, making Bosco’s a great place for lunch as well as dinner. The beer selection is impressive, and Bosco’s house-brewed creations are marvelous. The signature Flaming Stone beer is always a great bet. Bosco’s offers an array of styles and tastes to please any beer connoisseur. The atmosphere at Bosco’s is, like its menu, a perfect mix of classy and casual, making it a great place to relax after work or to take a date. Hearty Comfort Food At Lucky Dill Deli In Palm Harbor, FL

lucky dill deliI would tell anyone who has ever been to a New York deli for a pastrami sandwich to step into Lucky Dill Deli in Palm Harbor, FL. The food is amazing and the portions are huge! Two can share an entrée. Free dessert, New York Cheesecake, is offered when you purchase a beverage. The restaurant also offers outdoor specials. The “Bigger Better Burger” is only five dollars. A half-pound burger and a beer is only six dollars. The taste is fantastic! Only the best food is served here. My favorite is the pastrami on toasted rye bread, with coleslaw of course. It is the biggest, juiciest sandwich you can buy. Customers can enjoy breakfast here, too. Five-dollar weekday omelettes and six-dollar weekend benedicts will keep you coming back week after week. There is also a pastry bar with fresh baked cakes and cookies. You will find something for everyone young and old alike at the Lucky Dill. Make sure you come hungry! The filling food is made from scratch on a daily basis and is served hot. This is comfort food at its best! My husband and I found this restaurant by chance about two years ago. Until then we had not had good pastrami in Tampa Bay. Now, we come back to Lucky Dill Deli at least three times a month. The atmosphere is family oriented. The staff is happy and always ready to pile on the food. You should bring family and all your friends. No need to make a reservation! A Taste Of Tradition At Indian Flavors In Bellingham, WA

indian flavorsIf you are looking for great Indian food in Bellingham, WA, Indian Flavors is the place to go. I drove by this place a couple of times and decided it was time to try it. Although I did not make it in time for the buffet, which is only ten dollars a plate during lunch hours, I did manage to swing by for dinner with my friends. We are vegetarians, so we decided to order the Shahi Paneer, Chana Masala (Chickpeas) and the Naans. Naans were two dollars apiece, well worth the quality and great taste. They came out very tender- the best naan I have ever tasted! They also specialize in garlic naan as well, which is a must-try for any naan bread lover. Also, the curries are served in small steel Indian traditional bowls, which are, for the most part, traditional. This shows that they aim to make the experience as authentic as possible. When the curries came to us, they smelled very delicious. The portion size looked very small, but it turned out to be enough for the three of us. The chickpeas were very good and had a lot of flavor. The Shahi paneer also had cheese that was very fresh, supple and tender. It just melted in our mouths. There were not many workers at the place, but they were very quick in their service and came to check up often. The inside of the restaurant uses traditional pictures and showcases traditional music and video, which is a must for any Indian restaurant. It is a great place to eat! I would recommend it to anyone! To find more unique restaurants like this, visit globalYP.net, an online directory.

fabio's italian restaurantFabio’s Italian Restaurant in Tracy, CA is a great place to visit when you have a craving for wonderful Italian food! The restaurant has been in Tracy for years and has changed ownership three times, but that has not changed the wonderful taste of the food. Each owner has kept the original menu and recipes, so you can be sure of tasting great Fabio’s originals each time you come in. The restaurant also has a generous number of spirits on the menu and the wine list is a patron favorite. Everything, including the wine, is very well priced. The menu caters to everyone’s tastes, with salads, pasta, soup and plenty more. The restaurant has a great dessert menu as well. This includes an amazing tiramisu and a wonderful cheesecake. Fabio’s Italian Restaurant always has a fun atmosphere. There is a party going on every night until the restaurant closes. The restaurant does not close until 5 p.m. in order to accommodate the many parties that are hosted there on almost a daily basis. This establishment has been voted “Best in Tracy” by reader of the local Tracy Press for the last three years running and was voted best in San Joaquin County in 2007 by San Joaquin County Magazine. A Japanese Delicacy At Asahi Sushi In Baltimore, MD

asahi sushiWhen you first walk into Asahi Sushi at 514 S. Broadway in Baltimore, MD you are warmly greeted by the staff. They seem genuinely excited to serve you. The main dining area is well lit and has ample space between tables. The music is not too loud and seems to add to the calm atmosphere. They also have a sushi bar where you can sit down and watch a master Sushi artist at work. You can also enjoy the sports game displayed on the televisions. They have traditional sushi, such as California Rolls and Spicy Tuna, but also specialize in some unique combinations that are their own creations. If you do not like Sushi, you also have a wide variety of traditional Japanese dishes to choose from. Their Vegetable Tempura is one of my favorites, as well as the Miso soup. They are very generous in that a salad and soup come with every meal. The atmosphere is very relaxed and is conducive to conversation. The art on the wall adds to the overall ambiance. Asahi Sushi has reasonable prices for a sushi restaurant and the staff is one of the added benefits. Whenever I am in Baltimore and craving a little sushi, I always make it a point to stop by Asahi Sushi for a delicious California Roll. Homemade Breakfast Away From Home At Ernie’s Of Lake Tahoe In Folsom, CA

Posted by Jordan G. on June 10, 2010
Eating & Drinking Places / No Comments

ernie's of lake tahoeErnie’s of Lake Tahoe in Folsom, CA is a popular breakfast spot just like the legendary establishment in South Lake Tahoe. Just like the Tahoe version, Ernie’s of Lake Tahoe in Folsom serves breakfast all day. Service is usually fast, always friendly and super efficient. It’s one of the few restaurants we go to where we can always find the same staff. The coffee is good and hearty, and the food is tasty. Prices are reasonable and there is usually a special worth checking out. Portions are big without being too large to finish. The biscuits, however, are enormous. The taste is truly homemade, so you will find no generic food-service meals here! Try a “scram” for breakfast- eggs with your custom ingredients, like various meats or veggies, with or without your choice of cheese. You can get everything from turkey to roast beef, from zucchini to spinach to sprouts. Be sure to get the home fries- you will not be disappointed! If you’re tired of ham or sausage for breakfast, you can get linguica, Italian sausage, corned beef or a pork chop to add some tasty variety. Unlike the the establishment with Tahoe atmosphere, this little coffee shop is located in the corner of a strip mall. To find more great breakfast like this, visit globalYP.net, an online directory.
