http://www.flickr.com/photos/aellinger/3252458402/World of Bounce in Grove City, Ohio is a wonderful place to take the family for some bouncy fun. There are two huge rooms filled with blow-up toys for kids and parents to jump and bounce and play. One room has a blow-up bouncy basketball court with hoops on both ends and balls to throw in. There’s a huge slide, and obstacle course with some smaller sides as well. On the floor there are interesting chairs to sit on and big soft blocks and wedges and cylinders to build with, along with big balls to bounce on and play with and gym mats to play on. In the other room there is a sports arena bounce house with four different sports to play. There’s another huge slide and another obstacle course type inflatable. In the middle, there is a room with windows that look into both rooms, one on each side. There are tables and TVs in that room. Parents can hang out in there while their kids bounce. The staff is interactive. They help play with the kids and make sure they are safe and having fun. Some mom’s groups meet and hang out in the room in the middle and let their kids play. My kids love going here. It is a good workout for parents too. It brings out the kid in you. It is definitely a fun place for family time (and even for birthday parties). http://www.flickr.com/photos/adactio/2917093994/Muncie, Indiana may be known for things such as Jim Davis and the Garfield comic or Ball State University where David Letterman graduated from, but if you are a kid you know it for Escapades Family Fun Center. Escapades is a great place for kids to play on a snowy day or even a super hot summer day. The white building with the colorful sign, tucked behind Wal-Mart and Lowes, is the place where kids can enjoy being kids. The building has four main areas; the maze, the games, the kitchen, and the party rooms. The maze area is filled with ball pits, zip lines, tunnels, and slides. Children can enjoy hour after hour of crawling, jumping, running, and sliding. It is a great place to let your little one run out all the extra energy! The game area has over 20 different games that you use tokens to play. The games dispense tickets which can then be traded in at the redemption case for toys. If you get hungry you can enjoy a fresh made pizza, a hot dog, popcorn, or one of their other many menu items. Everything is reasonably priced so you don’t have to worry about breaking your budget. Escapades also features party rooms that can be rented out for events. Every party comes with its very own host that takes care of set up and clean up. All you have to do is show up and everything else is taken care of! Worried about having a headache from all the screaming kids? Don’t fret, just take a seat in the glass enclosed quiet room. You will still be able to see your kids but the noise will be greatly reduced! So if you have kids and are in Muncie, Indiana, take a trip to Escapades Family Fun Center, where the whole family can have a great time. Save time with globalYP.net, a searchable online directory.

Go To The Elbow Room In Dallas, TX On St. Paddy’s Day!

Posted by tluke on March 17, 2010
Eating & Drinking Places, Saint Patrick's Day / No Comments

Elbow RoomI tend to go to the Elbow Room for most major holidays. It is a great low key neighborhood dive bar with some really awesome employees. The average age of patrons ranges the whole spectrum, because everyone is made to feel right at home. But in general, you will run into a 20s-30s age group. Their food menu is definitely worth checking out too, as it is not just your typical greasy bar food. I usually go for sharing the cheese pizza or the chicken skewers jetting out of a grilled pineapple. The Saint Patrick’s Day parade of lower Greenville does not go past here, so it is perfect for those patrons wishing to steer clear of the massive crowd, or those looking for a place to settle in after the festivities. Although, there is plenty of room for everyone! Not only is the interior huge, with tons of tables, the back patio is spacious as well. The dart and shuffle boards are put to very good use every night. Other things to note are the multiple clean mens and womens restrooms, cigarette machine, jukebox, and gaming machine on the bar counter. You really can’t go wrong at the Elbow Room – I recommend it 100 percent! To find other great places this Holiday, visit globalYP.net, a local online directory.

Everyone Feels Like A Regular At Cherry Street Tavern In Philadelphia

Posted by tluke on March 12, 2010
Eating & Drinking Places, Saint Patrick's Day / No Comments

Cherry Street TavernCherry Street Tavern is a classic neighborhood bar, open to all. While the bar has its fair share of local regulars from the surrounding neighborhood, its location, right off the Ben Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia, makes it an ideal place to meet with the gang before or after a day spent enjoying the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Cherry Street has a warm, friendly vibe. The large, main room has a few quiet cozy nooks as well as several tables for larger groups who want to spread out. A classic old-time bar, Cherry Street is well-stocked with favorite local brews. There are frequent themed drink specials for local special events, including St. Patrick’s. Head to the large back room and find an airy space for a larger group – or just those who want a little more energy than the main room. The bar has a small, but well-executed menu featuring a variety of overstuffed sandwiches and other classic bar food. The wait staff are friendly and efficient, but won’t hover over you – their standard MO is to let you enjoy yourself. Although it looks like an unimpressive neighborhood watering hole from the outside, Cherry Street usually hosts an eclectic mix of business happy hour drinkers, students and tourists-in-the-know. In short, everyone’s welcome. To find other great places this Holiday, visit globalYP.net, a local online directory.

It Will Be The Best St. Patrick’s Day At Mother Egan’s Irish Pub In Austin, TX

Posted by tluke on March 12, 2010
Eating & Drinking Places, Saint Patrick's Day / No Comments

Mother Egan's Irish PubI love Irish pubs. Ever since I took a trip to Ireland some years back I have always had a soft spot for any place Irish themed. Here in Austin, we have several places to choose from, but I love Mother Egan’s Irish Pub the best. There is a outstanding selection of beer on tap, and the food is delicious. I love getting a stout Guinness or a black and tan while enjoying some delicious fish and chips. Another really cool thing about Mother Egan’s is that they have this amazing event every Tuesday night called Pub Trivia. It is really fun, but the people take it really serious, so newbies beware there is some serious competition between the teams and there are many teams there that always meet every week for drinks and some fun Irish style jeopardy.  I’m definitely going to come down to Mother Egan’s this Saint Patrick’s Day for the most fun and authentic Irish experience complete with green beer, shamrocks, and maybe a leprechaun or two. Who knows what could happen after all that green beer? You better remember to wear green or face merciless pinching. Hopefully you will take my advice and this review will help you make the best choice for you and your friends to meet and have a great St. Patrick’s party. Eating & Drinking Places, Saint Patrick's Day / No Comments

Half DoorIf you are looking for a great Irish pub to enjoy a cold one this Saint Patrick’s Day, look not further than The Half Door in Hartford, Connecticut. This pub is awesome. It isn’t your typical dingy bar, rather, it has a touch of elegance. They serve traditional Irish fare such as Shepherd’s Pie, irish Stew, Pub Fish & Chips and much more. I actually love coming here on Sunday’s when they serve Brunch. Their Brunch menu if to-die-for. But back to Saint Patrick’s Day … Half Door always has live music, so Saint Patrick’s Day in no different, except the energy is more intense than ever. They serve, of course, green beer and lots and lots of it! You can come early, grab a bite to eat and then finish the night off with beer and Irish Car Bombs. About their beer, they have any and ever kind of beer you can think of – whether you’re looking for English beers, Irish beers or Austrian beers. If I were you and lived in the Hartford area, I would definitely head to The Half Door for Saint Patrick’s Day. To find other great places this Holiday, visit globalYP.net, a local online directory.

Arts & Entertainment, Education / No Comments

Museum Of Natural History _SLCThe Museum of Natural History in Salt Lake City is nothing short of a miracle. There are so many things to do that I’m still amazed. Whether you just pay the entrance fee and walk through, or you choose to take a class or program, there’s something for everybody. Some of the programs for children include Spring Break Camp, Boy and Girl Scout activities, birthday parties and summer camps. These all range in price, but the memories they provide can’t be measured. These classes are educational and fun. The kids won’t even realize that their learning. If you’re on the bigger side of life, consider taking a adult class. There are always different classes going on throughout the year. One of the favorites is the non-fiction book club. Here, adults 18+ discuss, debate, and argue over books concerning the natural world. If reading isn’t your thing, consider the science movie night. Once a month, there is a free movie screening and discussion on the movie. Visiting the Museum of Natural History is a no-brainer. It’s an affordable, fun way to learn no matter what your age. There are classes on biology and science, and even other subjects not referred to a lot in science. There is truly options for everyone, but the only way to find out is to visit. Trust me, you’ll be hooked. To find other great places in your area, visit globalYP.net, a local online directory.

Laser Chase Is Fun For Everyone In Franklin, TN

Posted by Keri W. on February 16, 2010
Sports & Recreation / 1 Comment

http://www.flickr.com/photos/dmuth/2917134014/Lay waste to your fellow players at Laser Chase, a fun laser tag arena for both children and adults. Located on the second level of Southern Ice Arena, Laser Chase provides an adrenaline, suspense packed location for children of all ages and backgrounds to try out their skills in laser tag. The maze-like setting constantly keeps the wary on their toes, and the not-so-wary on their bums. One must constantly keep on the move and maintain their guard, or they will find themselves surrounded and outgunned in both the massive free-for-all fests and team games. As you attempt to outsmart your enemy, you must also beware of the accursed sentry turrets located throughout the maze. While easy to disable, they tend to reactivate at the most inconvenient of times, sometimes catching you by complete surprise when they go off and disable your suit. To add to the suspense, every time your suit is hit, it sets off a loud, spooky scream that is accompanied by a massive vibration that will leave you shivering as you continue on. But not to worry; within a few seconds, your suit will reactivate, and you’re back in the game. The games are generally around 15 minutes long, so it’s unlikely anyone will feel left out at the end, with everyone having a fair chance at getting a few “kills”. Laser Chase also hosts parties for many occasions, so call in and reserve your room now. GlobalYP.net has lots of local business listings available online, so check it out now.
