Video Games Etc. Has Excellent Deals In Greenfield, MA

Posted by Keri W. on April 06, 2010
Retail Stores / No Comments

I am a huge fan of video games, but I have had bad experiences at many of the large video game chains. Thankfully, my experience has been nothing but great at Video Games Etc. I am thrilled to have such a great local games store to do my shopping at. Video Games Etc has an excellent selection of new games. I’m almost always able to find what I’m looking for. They have an especially great selection of 360 games, which is perfect for me as that’s the console I own. They also carry many older games as well, and I’ve been able to find some rare gems there on more than one occasion. The prices are always very reasonable. Sometimes games are a few dollars more than they are at some of the chain stores, but I don’t mind paying a little more to support a business that I like. I have also found some very good deals on games there, especially used ones. Newer used games are often much cheaper there then at big name stores. Video Games Etc also offers a few other things of interest to me. They have a huge selection of used movies, and they also carry old comic books. It’s a lot of fun to browse through these things to see what I can find. The owner is very friendly and never pressures you to hurry and make a purchase while you look at all the shop has to offer. I’d definitely recommend Video Games Etc to any gamers in Western Massachusetts. If you’re not a fan of video games, I recommend checking out the used movie selection. There’s something for just about anyone at this store. Looking for something else? Find it faster with globalYP.net, an online directory.

Get Lost In The Thrill At Over The Edge Games & Comics In Fairhaven, MA

over the edge games and comicsOver the Edge Games & Comics is a gaming, comic and more store, located in Fairhaven, MA. I am into comics and it is my regular LCS (local comic store). They have a great selection of new comics that come in every Wednesday. They have a pull list service for their regular customers, but they have a great selection for anyone who just might happen to drive by the store. Over the Edge often has a sale on back issues and trade paperbacks. While I have been in larger stores that seem pretty cold, the employees at Over the Edge Games & Comics always greet everyone and try to help out anyone who might be looking for a particular book. Although I am a comic person, it is refreshing to see the many people who visit this store are interested in gaming. I do not know about gaming all that much, but they have many different games and tournaments going on throughout the week. They also have a huge Magic group that plays there often. It is amazing to see what some of these figures and cards sell for. They are selling them at a reasonable price, however, made apparent by their loyal following. This store also offers to buy and sell video games for a customer. All in all, Over the Edge Games & Comics is a great place to visit! Paradox Comics-N-Cards In Fargo, ND Is Perfect For Gaming Fans

http://www.flickr.com/photos/emmett_ns_tullos/2741526856/One of my favorite places to shop is Paradox Comics-N-Cards, or Paradox as we call it. A friend of mine recommended them to me last year and from the first time I went there, I have always felt welcome. The staff is knowledgeable about hobbies and card games and they are always happy to answer my questions and can help me come up with alternate solutions or products. They have taken special orders from me in the past, and let me know the same day when my order arrived. Another great service they offer is that when new products are released (being an avid fan here) they have been willing to take advance orders so that I can get products on the day of release in stock. All this extra service has not come at a cost to me. The fact they offer competitive prices while providing excellent service and are often willing to go above and beyond is why I am a loyal shopper and am always happy to go back to Paradox. I recommend that if you play card games, board games or enjoy painting miniatures, you should definitely take the time to check out Paradox. You won’t be disappointed. Save yourself some time and check out globalYP.net, yellow pages that are online.

There’s Nothing Better For Gamers In Knoxville, TN Than Organized Play

http://www.flickr.com/photos/magoexperto/2837151515/Knoxville, Tennessee’s newest (and best) gaming store is one of the best I have ever been in. Organized Play at 221 Cumberland Ave, is owned by a very nice man named Morgan, has altogether the best playing atmosphere in the area. I go in every Friday for FNM, or Friday Night Magic, a tournament of the Wizard’s of the Coast game Magic the Gathering. Morgan knows all the players by name, and he is always friendly and asks how our weeks have gone. It’s a great place, with a real old-city kind of appeal to it, and it is set up perfectly for tournaments and free play. And the stock that Morgan keeps is astounding! There are always new games, comics, and mangas coming in, and usually someone there who is up for a round with the new games. Organized Play even has its own live-in mascot! Preston, the shop cat and undisputed boss of the store, is always hanging around to climb into whatever lap presents itself, or to chase whatever dice may be out on the tables (whether they are in play or not). All in all I have to say that I will not be going to any other stores in the area, because the competition just doesn’t have Morgan’s concern for his customers, the atmosphere that he has striven to achieve, or to be brutally honest – his great prices! Get Your Tournament On At Game On In Puyallup, WA

Posted by Keri W. on January 03, 2010
Retail Stores / No Comments

If you wanted the latest in Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh or Warhammer in the Puyallup area, you might find it at Game On inside the Southill Mall. They play host to a maelstrom of tournaments from time to time, and it’s not unusual to stay a bit longer just to talk about the latest fads once you’ve made your purchase. Their prices are just right for what you need, and the staff isn’t rude by any means, which is a testament to their restraint. I have to give it to these guys on a Friday night, this places starts to get packed. You will see competition beckon even experienced Magic: The Gathering players here, and even Star Wars players (which you don’t see often in this state). The only sad thing is that they never have a Warhammer night, even though they have the tables. However, during the week the store has scheduled events you can look forward to, and placing a few bucks here would be a solid investment towards the future of this store. There are very few gaming spots around Puyallup where you can actually play, thus if you are ever around Puyallup give Game On your support. Find out what else is around you with globalYP.net, yellow pages that are online.

Meta-Games Unlimited In Springfield, MO Offers Unlimited Gaming Fun

Posted by Keri W. on October 02, 2009
Arts & Entertainment, Retail Stores / No Comments

meta_gamesEvery time I need new dice or gaming supplies I go to Meta-Games Unlimited in Springfield, Missouri. I go there to get my dice, my trading cards (I play Yu-Gi-Oh and Naruto) and, of course, RPG books. The atmosphere is friendly and you never have a problem getting help on whatever it is you need. They have a snack bar that is stocked with drinks, snacks, and candy and they even have a soda machine. Meta-Games Unlimited even has bathrooms (for both genders, girls game too!) The place is big but it’s not too big, leaving enough room for everyone to game at the same time. There is often a lot going on in different rooms at once. Meta-Games Unlimited (formally known as Meta-Geeks) has a wide arrangement of miniatures, and if you’re ever in the need of extra cash they buy game mats, trading cards, and game consoles you’re no longer using. They often run tournaments of any game you could think of and often have open game nights where you can play RPG games, board games, and card games. If you don’t own a computer, you can go to Meta-Games Unlimited to play World of Warcraft and other computer games. Meta -Games Unlimited is the best place to go if you ever need something to do with gaming of any kind. If you ever need a business listing of any kind, globalYP.net, an online directory, is the best place to go.
