Mama Nunz Italian Steakhouse is located on the campus of DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. Their specialties are their pizza and wings, but they also make a succulent steak. The first time I walked into Mama Nunz, or “Nunzio’s” as many locals like to call it, I was greeted by the owner who makes it his business to seat every customer that walks in. The place isn’t very big, but the cozy atmosphere makes it a place you will want to return to after your initial experience. I have tried many of the dishes Mama Nunz has to offer, and I have not found one I wasn’t pleased with. The first time I was there I had a pepperoni calzone and some of their wings to go along with it. The calzone was amazing. Every bite was a deliciously cheesy experience and the wings were wonderfully flavored and served with a wet rag to wipe the sauce off of your face after you devour them. The prices are reasonable and if you are on campus to see a football game or just stopping in Greencastle for a visit I would definitely recommend grabbing a bite to eat at Mama Nunz.
