Though I passed by A Bucci Hair Space countless times over the years, I never thought to take advantage of them and their low prices until very recently. I had hair down to the middle of my back. It was long yes, but overly dry due to coloring and lack of time to properly take care of it. So off I went in search of the best stylist I could find. The length was perfect, my bangs sat exactly where I wanted and she was able to highlight my cheekbones with this cut to make it look like I have naturally high cheek bones (which I do not, I have a rather oval shape face). All the girls were great in there. I watched them all work while I sat there getting the best hair cut in my life. The price was great too. A lot of the places in this area cost $90+ for the full package but I paid less than $30, so of course I was so happy I gave her a pretty large tip but hey, she deserved every last cent and more. After living in a very small town and having my hair done by one of my high school friends for years, it was hard to find a stylist that I could trust on the same level I trusted my previous stylist. Carrie immediately took me on a tour of the salon and told me about their history. When I found out about them, they had just recently changed locations. After the tour, Carrie offered me coffee and took me back and sat me down in front of a mirror so she could look at my hair and we could talk about what we wanted to do. The cut she gave me was really top-notch. She works quickly, but she is warm and friendly. I like a stylist who is easy to talk to. Carrie remembers things about your life, tells you stories from her own, and really makes you feel like a part of the family. I’ve had color done there as well, and the color is no less amazing than the cut. In fact, the color was the most gentle I’ve ever had done on my hair. It was creamy and thick like a conditioner, so it didn’t run all over the place and get my face and neck messy. I have fair skin, so when color gets on me, it stays. It didn’t almost eat a hole through my scalp like other colors have, either. They also have a massage therapist that comes in once a week, so you can make a massage appointment. There is an aesthetician in the suite next door, so a mani and pedi can make it a full spa day right in one location. I love Southern Exposure Salon in Canton, GA, and I recommend them to anyone who likes that small-town beauty shop charm but wants upscale, quality haircuts and hair color.
