Turbo Toast Comics, A Collector’s Paradise In Columbia, TN

Turbo Toast ComicTurbo Toast Comics is probably the best place in Columbia, Tennessee, to go to find just about any collectible. They have hundreds of comic books to pick from at any given time, many that are no longer in print and worth at least the price tag that Turbo Toast puts on them. If you enjoy reading the classic comics, or want to trade in some of your own for a little cash or credit, check this place out. In addition to their overwhelming collection of recreational literature, Turbo Toast Comics also has hundreds of collectible action figures, models, and display pieces that you will have a hard time finding anywhere else, including websites like eBay and Amazon. Classic Star Wars pieces, Gundam models from every series, old-edition Marvel action figures, and star ships from the Star Trek Universe will give any hard-core collector a giddy feeling. If that isn’t enough for you, they have dozens of DVD collections for various Anime and American cartoon series. There is very little in regards to comic books, American cartoons, Anime, fantasy, and science fiction that you won’t be able to find at Turbo Toast Comics. I give them four stars out of five. Engine House Hobbies In Gaithersburg, MD Is Every Model Train Enthusiast’s Dream

Retail Stores / No Comments

engine_houseEngine House Hobbies is a small but fun location for model train enthusiasts as well as beginners just entering the hobby. They have a full range of model train supplies, from tracks and trains to books, scenery, and miniature people and houses. They have a train display in the middle of the store, and a window overlooking the train tracks crossing near the Montgomery County fairgrounds. The owners seem like grandparents who want to share their joy of the hobby with you. They can help you choose the size, engine type, and cost of a system or point out specialized parts for experts. The store also offers gift certificates, and handled the one item I needed to return without a problem. The selection is modest, but they are also willing to order from distributors and can suggest other locations for getting items they do not have in stock. They are true model railroad hobbyists themselves, making the store much more enjoyable to patronize than large chain hobby stores, even if they do not have the same extent of stock. Just be sure to call to make sure they are open on weekends as they are prone to close the store some weekends to spend time with their family or attend local model train events. Be sure to check out globalYP.net to find local listings online.

Captain Comic In New Hyde Park, NY Is King Of Comics

captnEven as an adult, I have not outgrown my love of comic books. That is why I am glad that I live near Captain Comic, a great comic book store located in New Hyde Park. One of the best things about the store, is that in addition to their huge selection of titles that cover many different comic book genres, is that the clientele is very mixed, providing a good sense of community within the store. However, there is more to this family run business than just comic books, it is also a great place to purchase science fiction, and really entertainment in general, with tons of memorabilia and collectibles. Over the past few years, I have purchased model kits and vinyl figurines. While the selection is not huge, they have great prices. Finally, Captain Comics also sells a large number of customizable card games, both starter packs and boosters. There are also usually plenty of people hanging around ready to play a game, making it a great way to pass the afternoon. The best part about Captain Comic is not what it sells, however, but rather the people that run it. They are very warm and welcoming, and do a good job of building not just customers, but also friends. So the next time you need a comic, or anything science fiction related, be sure to visit this great store. The next time you need a business listing, find it online with globalYP.net, an online directory.

The Hobby Hangar in LoganThe Hobby Hanger is a quite, hometown hobby shop that deals with a wide range of personal hobbies. The owner has slowly grown the business from a small backyard shop, to a well rounded business. They are also one of the best places to go to get answers about related hobbies. They have a knowledgeable staff that will explain things clearly and recommend products and services that will fit you needs. The store is also a great place to just go and wander around their display cases that house everything from vintage models, to modern RC airplanes. Overall, their selection is the best around, and their prices are quite reasonable. If you want to get the job done right, you will be able to find what you need to do it with there.
