What a great way to start your day in Hollywood. Just walking into this place removes you from the overcrowded city that is not exactly a place to relax. Located in the Los Feliz neighborhood, There’s No Place Like Home, is an outdoor restaurant designed like a miniature getaway. There is a koi pond right in the center of this restaurant with seating right around it. There is beautiful greenery and an aesthetic design for you to relax and enjoy your morning coffee, not to mention some delicious breakfast. Just be sure if you go on a cold day to bring a jacket. They have a “Build Your Own Omelette” option that I highly recommend. It is huge and delicious. Breakfast is served all day here, which is perfect for all those late sleepers like me. If you are in the mood for some lunch, dinner, or maybe just some drinks, they have that too. The menu items have a pretty big variety to choose from too. They have pizza, burgers, pasta, steak, ribs, etc. This is a place where you can take everyone and nobody will have to compromise on what they want to eat. As far as drinks go, they have a great assortment of teas and coffees which are decently priced. They also have wine, beer, champagne, cocktails, and over thirty different (and very delicious) martini options. If you decide to have a martini, I recommend the Rasberry Latte Martini. It’s not a typical martini, but well worth the taste. If you have any friends or family coming to visit you, take them here. It’s definitely worth your time. Douglas Walker Park in Byron Center, MI is a great place to bring your family on a sunny day. It has a wide variety of activities for a wide variety of ages. There are soccer fields, picnic tables, playgrounds, and more. Bring a soccer ball or baseball and scrimmage with your kids, or bring a picnic to enjoy in the open fields or under the shade of the trees. The park also offers its own bike trail, perfect for biking or taking a leisurely stroll. The trail is usually fairly quiet, so it is a good place to bring your kids. A building is also available to rent for larger events that may require electricity or a more private center. There is plenty of parking at the park, so no need to worry about getting in. If the day is really nice, I would recommend biking there if it is within good distance. The park is relatively accessible via Kent Trails as well, and even crosses an outdoor ice cream shop on the way, making a great end-of-the-day treat. Bring along some sports equipment, a Frisbee, some picnic fixings, or just the family and prepare for a great day of family fun!
