Taylorsville Recreation Center is a great place for families. It has multiple gyms, tennis courts, and even a huge rock climbing wall. The best part is that it’s affordable. In the summer, the recreation center is conveniently located near the Taylorsville Outdoor Pool for easy access. It’s also within walking distance of the local library. No matter how you look at it, it’s a great deal. There are always a ton of kids and families hanging out around the center, and plenty of staff and teachers so safety isn’t an issue. There are even healthy snacks available after that hard workout. The rec center includes a full service weight room and an aerobics room with thousands of dollars worth of equipment. Steep World is the only commercial climbing gym in Billings, Montana (not including the ones at the colleges and the YMCA). Steep World has a very knowledgeable staff and a wide variety of climbing, kite-boarding, backpacking, and mountain boarding equipment. Whether you are looking for rock climbing lessons, to join a team, or just to get in shape with a great workout, Steep World is a fun place to be. They have an afternoon program that children can go to, and they have a portable climbing wall that can be set up for birthday parties, community events, or any other get together that would benefit from some physical exercise disguised as fun! Amazing Jake’s, at 1830 East Baseline Rd in Mesa, AZ,  is a family fun restaurant. It’s one of my favorite places to take the kids. It is an all you can eat buffet, plus a fun center. The seating areas are fun themed, you can sit in a tropical oasis, a movie theatre (with great kids movies playing), a sports bar with live sporting events on TV, or a country club setting. The dining areas are away from the kids’ games and rides so there isn’t the loud noise factor you get at some other kid pizza restaurants. The food is great. In addition to the unlimited pizza, they have salad, soups, pastas, baked potatoes and desserts. The gaming center is amazing, they have the typical games you can play to earn tickets to trade in for prizes but they also have a bowling alley, rock climbing, lazer tag, bumper cars and miniature golf. There are so many activities for kids of all ages. They also have some small carnival rides including a mini roller coaster. Birthday party rooms are available. The cost is very reasonable and you can get a wrist band that will include everything but bowling, for one low price.
