If possible try to sit away from the section by the kitchen as it is quite loud and a lot of commotion spills into the dining area. There are a few private alcoves near the front that are the best, but always seem to be full! A final note, when they ask you for steamed or fried rice with your meal, say neither. My wife and I just got married in the fall and we spent our wedding night at the Woodruff Inn in Luray. It was so wonderful and romantic. I can’t really suggest this bed and breakfast enough. It is really small and only has about three rooms which is really cool and gives it a personal and special feel to the whole experience. The rooms are amazing and they each have their own character and flair, but the best part is the bathroom which has it’s own hot tub in each room that you and your special someone can get in and soak and enjoy the romance. The staff was really nice because I sent some roses and champagne there and they put it up in the room in a beautiful vase and the champagne was put on ice and everything was done with style and class. To anyone looking for a romantic getaway from D.C. or anywhere in Virginia will not be disappointed in the quality, class, and character that is at the Woodruff Inn in Luray. The staff is very welcoming and attentive while the atmosphere is extremely relaxing, yet sophisticated. Drinks are available at the bar or can be brought to you by a server. Reservations may be necessary to ensure availability. My family and I always go to Rossi’s for special events and celebrations. They food is by far the best Italian food I have ever had, other than my Italian grandmas. Their sides of pasta are so large; you are guaranteed not to finish it. Although it is a nice treat the next day when you still have mounds of pasta to enjoy. My all-time favorite meal is the Veal Marsala with a side of spaghetti. I also enjoy their Tiramisu for dessert. For the Valentine’s Day last year I went out with my girlfriend to a restaurant One If By Land Two If By Sea in New York City. The place was very romantic with dimmed light. It was just an excellent choice to celebrate a special occasion. I was so glad that I chose this restaurant – I knew my girlfriend was going to love it. The Char in Beckley, West Virginia is one of the finest restaurants in the area and is a great place to take a date for Valentine’s Day.
