http://www.flickr.com/photos/jhartney/2853645870/Chava’s Mexican Restaurant in St. Louis, MO is a fantastic to place to go if you’re in the mood for Mexican food. First, the service is terrific. They are friendly and right away you are greeted with chips and salsa. The drinks are cheap and they have a large selection of what a Mexican restaurant should have: margaritas. And they are all delicious! There is also a very generous selection of beer if that is more your speed. Next, the food is top-notch and the menu is large so finding something is a piece of cake. The fried tacos are usually my choice as they are perfect. Beef or chicken and filled with the freshest ingredients such as tomatoes, onions, lettuce, cheese or whatever you want! The standard rice and bean sides are a perfect complement to the fried taco meal. Chava’s also has a large vegetarian section if that’s what you’re into. Lastly, I know dessert doesn’t always sound great after a large meal of tacos, but the fried cheesecake is so good. It’s large, so sharing it with another person is a great idea. A pastry filled with cheesecake and smothered in chocolate and caramel, the fried cheesecake is the perfect way to end a delicious meal. Or you could just have another margarita! GlobalYP.net is the perfect way to find local listings online.

New St. Louis Wok in South St. Louis, Missouri is the best place for Chinese food. First of all, they are in a great location right off of Grand Boulevard at 3226 South Grand Blvd. It is easy to get in and easy to get out. They have a large dine-in area if that’s what you are looking for. They will also deliver right to your home or apartment. You also have the option of carry-out and the food is ready quickly. Second, the service is fantastic. They treat you with respect and seat you and take your order immediately. The delivery service is fast and friendly as well. Finally, the food is delicious. It’s a classic assortment of all of your Chinese favorites. The appetizers are all first-rate, from the pot stickers to the crab Rangoon. The main dishes are all amazing, with a huge selection of beef, seafood, vegetable and poultry dishes. There is something for everyone’s tastes! I prefer the house seafood platter, as the shrimp and scallops mixed with vegetables is absolutely perfect. The beef kung pao is also a personal favorite, as the beef is tender and the sauce itself is nice and spicy. The Phoenix Makes For A Fun Night In Saint Louis, MO

Eating & Drinking Places / No Comments

A few of my friends decided to go to The Phoenix last Saturday night for the first time. I was a little put off by the $5 cover charge at the door, but once inside, the drink specials made up for it! The place is huge!! I advise getting there a little early if you want a good seat, because they started filling up pretty quick. The bartender was super friendly and very fast! She recommended some really good shots! They had, what they called, “The beat the clock special”. Drafts were only 50 cents and rails were only 75 cents! The price went up a little each hour until they were back to $2 drafts and $3 rails. Needless to say, I was happy with the prices. The food was your typical bar food, but they had really good burgers. The prices on food were pretty cheap too. I couldn’t believe how good the band sounded. They have a great sound system in that place. There was a DJ during the band’s breaks and he was entertaining as well. There were a very wide range of customers. I didn’t feel too old or too young and people watching made for a really good time. They have a TON of pool tables in there and at a buck a game, I had to play a few rounds. I wasn’t too sure about going there, because I had heard the staff was rude, but everyone was very nice and really seemed like they were having as good of a time as we were! If you’re in the area, you should drop in there for sure. I know that we will be going back! Stop by globalYP.net for local business listings available online.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/montage_man/3696901154/Cafe Natasha Kabob International in St. Louis, Missouri is a terrific restaurant to visit if you’re in South St. Louis city. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is cozy and it’s exactly what you’d expect from a Persian (Iranian) meal. It’s a small venue so the owners are almost always there and will visit your table to make sure your experience is going well. If the weather is nice, sitting outside is a perfect way to enjoy the day or night. The staff is friendly and the portions are generous. It’s great for dinner but lunch is also a great option as the service is fast with a good sized lunch menu. As far as recommendations go, I usually get the beef shish kabob as the meat is tender and the marinade is fantastic. The rice is prepared perfectly as well. The lamb chops are also delicious. If you are just in the mood for something light, have a sandwich as the gyro is tasty and is also a great choice for lunch. Make sure you start your meal with the falafel as they are unbelievable. You shouldn’t leave without trying the Persian Ice Cream with a refreshing cup of Turkish coffee. All in all, one of my favorite restaurants in all of St. Louis and you can get out of there without breaking the bank too! You can get online yellow pages at globalYP.net.

The Royale Has Really Great Food At Really Great Prices In Saint Louis, MO

Posted by Keri W. on December 07, 2009
Eating & Drinking Places / No Comments

The first time I went to The Royale, it was to try a cask-conditioned ale that they were going to have for the evening. I’m a bit of a beer geek so the fact that they were going to have a good “real” beer on tap told me good things before I ever set foot in the door. Initially I was a bit surprised at the size of the place. It’s fairly small, but not crowded. We’ll call it cozy. After ordering a beer, my friends and I stepped out back to check out the outside seating. We were blown away by the “beer garden”. It’s beautiful and spacious with lots of seating, a fire pit and even a little water garden area. Now down to the good stuff… first off, the beer selection here is pretty impressive. They don’t have scores to choose from like some “beer bars” but they’re all very quality brews, both on tap and in bottles. If you enjoy good beer, then this is a place that’s well worth checking out. Besides the beer they have an impressive spirits list and have quite a few good specialty mixed drinks. The food was OUTSTANDING. I got a Kobe Wagyu beef burger with goat cheese, which is something I had never tried on a burger before. The burger was only around $10, which is really reasonable for a Kobe burger. From the first bite I was astounded. A good cheeseburger is one of my favorite foods. To say this was the best burger I’ve ever eaten should be taken as a pretty big compliment, and it deserves the title. I also had a couple bites of their crab cakes which were also incredible. The wait staff is very friendly and helpful, which was just the cherry on top of our dining experience. We all ate and drank well and were fairly impressed when the bill came. You’d be hard pressed to find a better price for an evening out of really good food and beer. I’ve since been back to The Royale several times and I’ve been equally impressed each and every time. I recommend it to anyone who appreciates good food and beer. If this sounds like you then don’t take my word for it. Go check it out yourself. You won’t be disappointed. Go check out globalYP.net, an online directory, too.

The St Louis Sports Zone Is The Spot For Sports Fans In St Louis, MO

Posted by Keri W. on November 30, 2009
Eating & Drinking Places / No Comments

I come to St Louis often and am an avid sports fan. When I can’t actually go to a Cardinals, Rams, or Blues games I almost always go to the St Louis Sports Zone. The St Louis Sports Zone has everything any true sports fan would want. It’s huge and has countless large TVs for its customers to watch. The staff is very nice and accommodating. In my experience with sports bars, the beer is overpriced and the food is mediocre. Not at this place. I actually crave the food of the St Louis Sports Zone. Plus, on weeknights they have amazing drink specials. There is also a huge patio in the back with a great atmosphere during the warmer months. However, my personal favorite feature is the free WI-FI. I play fantasy football, and having a computer there helps me stay up to date on my current fantasy matchup. My friends and I love to go here with one computer and watch all of the football games on their countless TVs. I highly recommend a trip to this place! It blows any sports bar I have been to out of the water. Stop by globalYP.net to find local business listings online.
