Madhatters Tea House and Café is a quaint little restaurant long beloved by San Antonio residents. It’s nestled in the middle of Southtown, the arts district of San Antonio, near the famous Rosario’s Mexican restaurant. Madhatters specializes in light drinks, whether it’s teatime or any time of the day. And they have a truly staggering assortment of teas to choose from – nearly 30 different varieties are on-hand to go along with your meal. Whether you love an exotic rooibos red tea or just a classic Earl Grey, Madhatters has got a cup meant for you. Madhatters doesn’t just have drinks, though – they also have a great selection of homemade soups and sandwiches. They also have an assortment of temptingly decadent desserts, which you can buy by the slice or as a complete pie or cake if you’ve had a bad day. Madhatters also features a Mimosa brunch on Sundays, where they sell $13 all you can drink “fishbowl” mimosas (designated driver not included.) Madhatters has a gallery space that features a rotating lineup of San Antonio artists, and on the first Friday of the month, they host live acoustic shows in the café. Madhatters Tea House and Café is open 8am-9pm Monday through Saturday, and 9am to 3pm on Sunday. Visit globalYP.net to find local business listings online.

Pita Plus in College Park, Maryland, is one of the best kosher restaurants in the area. Located right off of Route One, this little shop is right next the University of Maryland College Park campus. Constantly full during lunch and dinner time, this cute restaurant has a surprisingly delectable menu. Pita Plus has all kinds of Jewish and Israeli dishes such as: hummus, falafel, schnitzel, shawarma, pita bread, lafa bread, and much more. With such a diverse and delicious menu, it is no surprise that college students naturally flock there. There are however, plenty of families that eat there on a regular basis. All the food on the menu is kosher, so anyone that has religious food restrictions should feel comfortable eating here. Pita Plus’s best asset is by far their falafel. As someone who eats there regularly I can attest to this. Additionally, the schnitzel is also delicious. It is so juicy and crispy that I get it in a pita almost every time I go there. With a variety of hot and cold sandwiches and platters, there is surely something for everybody on the menu. With their relatively inexpensive menu, this makes a great lunch or dinner spot any time. Toft’s Dairy in Sandusky, Ohio is a unique place to meet your ice cream needs. Situated in Sandusky near Lake Erie, it is perfect to grab a cone and go to the lake and eat or watch the sunset. But you don’t have to eat by the lake, as Toft’s also has places to eat on site such as outdoor tables, or you can grab one of the old wooden school desks. They have an amazing selection of flavors, so choosing which flavor is difficult to do. Even a seasoned Toft’s veteran can take a minute to figure out what they may want. The ice cream is very fresh as Toft’s also sells ice cream by the half and full gallons across the country. So when a flavor runs out in the dairy bar, they just grab a fresh tub of just made ice cream off of the production line to serve so it’s never freezer burnt like some places. The servings are enormous. A small sized cup/cone is two big scoops, and hard for even a large person such as myself to finish. I usually have to share with my date, which is just another excuse to go to Toft’s. Toft’s doesn’t just serve ice cream, they also sell hot loose meat sandwiches in the winter to warm you up on those cold Ohio days. The prices are MORE than reasonable as they are a manufacturer and there is no middle man. Toft’s is very family oriented so grab the kids, invite grandma and grandpa, and go to Toft’s and have a tasty treat at an affordable price. Coffee Depot in historic Downtown Riverside is regarded by many local citizens and college students as a true gem to the community. The coffee house has a rich history and has an appropriate name because the large building used to be used as a train depot for luggage during the early 1900s and although the building has naturally been restored, it is still very authentic and has a very traditional, depot type aura to it. The building itself is truly one of the largest coffee houses I have ever been to or heard of and is even two stories. There is a main room, a lounge/library, and another large room which functions as a sitting area and a room for performances and various events. Coffee Depot also has events such as Swing Dancing and Poetry Readings going on nearly every day of the week. Also, you can’t forget the great coffee! Coffee Depot really has a true, non commercialized taste in their coffee with a large menu with both coffee drinks and breakfast/ lunch foods similar to those of a café offering sandwiches and yogurt parfaits. The people behind the counter are also very friendly and always chatting up customers. The coffee shop is almost always full of people but it never really feels crowded because of the vast amount of seating. Coffee Depot is truly an amazing coffee house and I would highly recommend it for anyone to visit. GlobalYP.net is truly a great place to find local business listings online.
Boz Hot Dogs is a great, customer oriented, Ma and Pa style restaurant. It is very easy to find, as it is located five minutes off of Interstate 80 on Route 47 in Morris. The menu includes items such as hot dogs, brats, nachos, chili cheese nachos, flurries, soups, chili, barbeque pork and more. The food is delicious; however, their Chicago style hot dog is slightly different than the standard. It consists of mustard, relish, onion, cucumber, tomatoes, hot peppers, and celery salt. The lack of pickles was kind of disappointing, but it’s still great. They can make the Italian beef with three different cheeses (mozzarella, American, and nacho) and have a variety of peppers (sport, pepperoncini, giardiniera, and sautéed bell peppers). They have a small, clean dining area that can seat about 20-25 customers. The customer service here was amazing. They have discounts for seniors and provide a very friendly atmosphere. During one of my visits, the employees were able to hold a friendly conversation with four or five senior citizens for about 45 minutes. They have very reasonable hours, as they are open from 10:30 to 9:00 seven days a week. If you are in the area I highly recommend you stop and indulge in this fantastic restaurant. If you want to feel at home, visit P’Sghetti’s. This small Italian restaurant is located in South St. Louis County and offers original and delectable cuisine. Nestled along the confines of a heavily traveled street, P’Sghetti’s has become a dining landmark for local residents. P’Sghetti’s is famous for their bread. The bread has a touch of sweetness, and can be purchased by itself, covered in cheese or garlic, or eaten with that perfectly made sandwich. Pasta, at P’Sghetti’s, is a main-stay, and can be ordered as a side or in bulk. If you have a party and need an excellent carry-out menu, nothing beats P’Sghetti’s spaghetti or ravioli. They also have many sandwiches to choose from including their open-faced meatball sandwich, succulent cheese-melts, roast beef, pizza bread, and subs. Orders are prepared fresh, and can be called in ahead of time. Their freshly redecorated dining room is welcoming and full of charm and warmth. They have a friendly and efficient staff who recognize you if you become a regular. Privately owned and operated, P’Sghetti’s is a perfect place for families or couples to talk and relax. I have never had a bad meal there, which proves their commitment to excellence as well as their ability to create an inviting atmosphere everyone can enjoy. After years of driving a half hour round trip just to bring home a fresh baked pizza, we decided to find something closer to home. Joey Tomato’s had been located in Pine Bush, NY for quite a while, but we had never tried it and neither had any of our friends. We decided to take a chance after receiving some coupons in the mail. Now we are kicking ourselves that we waited so long. Visually speaking, Joey Tomato’s isn’t exactly a “fine dining” establishment. Don’t get me wrong, the place is clean and the staff is always friendly and ready to help. But the dining area is very small, and the tables are located next to the front door, which can lend to chilled dining during the winter months. However, don’t let their simple shop design deter you from ordering take-out. Their pizza is among the best I’ve ever tasted. The crust is always perfect – crispy on the outside, warm and chewy on the inside, and never burnt. Their fresh-made sauce is seasoned perfectly, and the toppings are always well cooked and generously spread on the pizza. Bacon has always been a favorite topping in our household, and Joey Tomato’s is one of the few places in the county to offer it. In addition to their delicious pizza, they also offer a variety of Italian dishes, salads, sandwiches, and a kid’s menu. Their buffalo wings are a great addition to any pizza you order, and always taste freshly made when you get them home (they punch small holes in the container lid to allow steam to escape, so the wings remain crispy). If you live near Pine Bush, NY and have never tried Joey Tomato’s, don’t wait any longer. Don’t wait any longer to check out globalYP.net, yellow pages that are online.
I have personally been to many delis all over New York City to see what they each have to offer. The number one sandwich I tend to order from a deli is a plain Philly Cheese Steak sandwich with mozzarella cheese. Now, I have had some bad experiences, decent experiences, good experiences, and great experiences. The worst experience with a Philly cheese steak sandwich is when some deli put decided to use roast beef instead of steak. The great experience I speak of is with Tasty Deli. They made absolutely the best Philly Cheese Steak I have ever eaten. You can tell they only use premium quality steak and fresh cheese. The Italian bread they used tasted very fresh as well. The place inside is clean, so you do not have to worry about any health hazards. The service is great as well. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted in a friendly and welcoming manner. The prices are pretty much typical. Roughly $5 for a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich. I now order a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich from “Tasty Deli” at least once a week. Unlike most Philly cheese steak sandwiches, Tasty Deli does not make it too greasy. I highly recommend Tasty Deli. Miss Donuts in Fullerton, CA is a quaint little donut shop that is open 24 hours. It is a great place to visit when you are craving a sweet, yet warm snack. A couple runs this establishment, with the wife running the morning shift and her husband assisting customers in the afternoon. Both of these individuals are very accommodating. Oftentimes, if you ask, they will offer you a deal. Regular customers have a better chance of receiving a deal because of the familiarity. New comers are always welcome, especially during these times. This place offers more than just donuts. Customers can have freshly made sandwiches. Meats include cold cuts and other typical deli-style meats. Donuts are freshly made at night and in the morning. You can rest assured that donuts will always be available, no matter what you are your craving may arise. Customers will find that there is more of a variety during them morning than there is at night. The smell of this shop is invigorating, warm and inviting. The fresh aroma of donuts makes you hungry.
