Bogacki General Dentistry, located in Springfield, Virginia, is a great locally owned practice to go to. Conveniently located in northern Virginia, the practice is owned by husband and wife partners, Dr. Russell Bogacki and Dr. Catherine Bogacki, who offer a wide range of dental services. Both practicing dentists, the practice is an awesome one to use for just about any dental need or issue you could have. They accept most major insurance plans, offer flexible scheduling with some evening and even weekend appointments available. They also are knowledgeable about some of the newest things in cosmetic dentistry, such as Lumineers (lightweight veneer coverings to totally redo your smile). The office staff and dental assistants are always polite, friendly and professional. I have used each of the dentists, and they are both just incredible. I have had a wide range of dental services there including exams, x-rays, fillings, and crowns, and it was all done very successfully and with no problems. I came away feeling as if I had gotten a very thorough dental exam with a good bit of information on what the various treatment options were. They are a great local practice to check out, I think you will be very glad that you did. Check out more local places with globalYP.net, an online directory.

Hello You! Cards Has Handmade Greetings In Springfield, TN

Posted by Keri W. on April 21, 2010
Retail Stores / No Comments

Have you ever showed up at a birthday party only to find that you’ve brought the same greeting card as another friend… or even two!? Yes, I mean that card that took you 25 minutes to pick out at the store. You searched until you found the perfect card that fit your relationship with the person on the receiving end. And suddenly, it’s no longer special, but more comical. This has happened to me more times than I care to count. There are probably six major stores in Springfield, TN that carry greeting cards and they all carry the same lines. So it doesn’t matter where you shop or how long you search, you can’t avoid picking over the same cards as everyone else. Unless you set yourself apart and try a local business like Hello You! Cards. Sure the small businesses could carry the same card lines as well but not this one. Hello You! Cards, located at 320 N. Willow St, are all handmade and you won’t find anyone else who carries them. Each card is like a snowflake… you won’t have an exact duplicate of a handmade item. At Hello You! Cards, you’ll find cards for every occasion. Birthdays, Anniversaries, Valentine’s Day, Christmas, New Babies, Other Holidays and more. Find cards for men, women and children, and cards for friends, family and co-workers. You can also catch a price break at Hello You! Cards when you purchase multiple cards. Sure you could say the same about purchasing from a wholesale company. But you would have to purchase hundreds or even thousands. With Hello You! Cards, you will receive more than a 35% price break when you buy cards in a set of only ten. Don’t forget that shipping is always free too! People seem to think that handmade items are more expensive than brand-name products, but I don’t agree. I have paid around $5.00 for good quality cards in the past. At Hello You! Cards, you can find cards from $2.50 – $4.00 each. When you consider the quality you receive with handmade cards, you won’t find a better deal. Try finding more local businesses with globalYP.net, online yellow pages.

There’s No Better Place To Enjoy A St. Patrick’s Day Beer Than At Donovan’s Irish Pub In Springfield, MA

Posted by tluke on March 11, 2010
Eating & Drinking Places, Saint Patrick's Day / No Comments

Donovan's Irish PubI can’t imagine spending my St. Patrick’s Day anywhere but Donovan’s Irish Pub. From the great Irish food like corned beef and cabbage to their selections of beers and lagers, it has everything you’d want out of a pub for your March 17th celebration. Even the music they play is perfect. The prices on both food and drinks are great, and I love that you can enjoy yourself without constantly worrying about how much you’re spending. As the bar is located in the Eastfield Mall, it isn’t ideal, but the atmosphere inside is still great. You’ll easily forget that it’s in a mall once you’re inside the bar. For drinks, I’d recommend either Ohara’s Celtic Stout or, of course, Guinness, which they have on tap. If you’d like to get off to an early start on St. Patrick’s Day, their Irish breakfast is always incredible. They have a few different breakfast options on the menu, but my personal favorite is the Bubble and Squeak Irish Breakfast. You can watch them cook up the breakfast right in front of you, and it’s a great way to feel like you’re celebrating the whole day. However, nothing can beat the way it feels inside the pub on St. Patrick’s night. All the patrons and and the bartenders get so into it, and it’s great to all raise your glasses high together. The Illinois State Museum Is Interesting And Fun In Springfield, IL

Posted by Keri W. on February 24, 2010
Education / No Comments

http://www.flickr.com/photos/aka_kath/3621200630/The Illinois State Museum is a wonderful museum to visit in Springfield, IL at 502 S Spring St. Its newly renovated “Changes” section is a lot of fun! The museum made the Changes section to look like a portal through time and subjects, starting off with geology and archeology, and ending with botany and zoology. It is a fun walkthrough exhibit that has video experts and interactive games. One of the most appealing parts about it is a small movie theater, in which you learn about an archeology expedition in a dry river bed. Another learning experience in the Changes section is the amazing molds of extinct species. They have a huge skeleton of a Giant Ground Sloth. It is almost twenty feet tall! It is a lot of fun to walk in its shadow. Although a great learning experience and a lot of fun, the Changes section is not the only cool part of the museum. On the second floor, they have a wonderful exhibit on Native Americans. They show their lifestyle with beautiful 3D displays and wax figures on an untamed landscape. Throughout this awe inspiring display are buttons that if pressed, will give an audio explanation, which is a great learning experience! Next to the Native American exhibit, there is an art exhibit. In this part of the museum, you get to see the art that the peoples in Illinois enjoyed over time. Also in this section, there are toys that children would have played with hundreds of years ago. Lastly, in the basement of this fun museum, there is a collection of non-extinct but rare stuffed animals. Next to this is a play area for young children. In the play area, children have fun learning how Native Americans made food by crushing corn against rocks! The Illinois State Museum is a great place to have fun and learn. Salvatore’s Restaurant Is The Perfect Place For A Valentine’s Date In Springfield, MA

Posted by tluke on February 10, 2010
Eating & Drinking Places, Valentine's Day / No Comments

Salvatore's RestaurantFor the past several years on Valentine’s Day, my husband and I have gone out to dinner at Salvatore’s Restaurant. They have always gone out of their way to make sure we have a wonderful romantic night out. We have even been allowed to have our dinner in one of the banquet rooms so that we’d be able to be alone together. They really go above and beyond for us every time we go there. The food at Salvatore’s Restaurant is excellent. I’m a fan of Italian food, but I also really enjoy their seafood. My favorite item on their menu has to be the Zuppa De Pesce. Their lobster is without a doubt the best that I’ve ever had. The servings they give you are very large, so it’s easy to share it with your date. I personally find sharing a meal to be very romantic. The restaurant has plenty of parking and we’ve always had very quick service, so nothing like that will put a damper on your special evening. The lighting inside is very nice, and the whole restaurant has a wonderful ambiance. It feels very authentically Italian. If you live in western Massachusetts, there’s no better place for a romantic dinner than Salvatore’s. I can’t recommend it enough. It’s my number one choice for a Valentine’s Day date. kyoto japanese grillKyoto Japanese Grill in Springfield, MO is one of the newer Japanese restaurants in town. Run by friendly people, this establishment provides excellent service and excellent food. The building was revamped with a stunning interior, which provides an excellent atmosphere. Outside, two stone lions guard the entrance. Their service is swift, yet accurate, and their food is delicious. They even have a banquet room for business parties or your regular run of the mill parties. There is plenty of seating for everyone. Whether you just came from church or you are having a big get together, Kyoto is ready to meet your needs. The restaurant is even child-friendly. The food is very affordable (about a $9 to $15 price range) and very tasty. They have a variety of sushi and other meals, all of which are very filling. The place has an elegant feel. An Environmentally Friendly Approach To Your Caffeine Experience At The Coffee Ethic In Springfield, MO

Posted by Jordan G. on January 01, 2010
Eating & Drinking Places / No Comments

the coffee ethicI frequent The Coffee Ethic almost every time I travel to Springfield, MO. Although there are several coffee shops in the downtown area, this coffee shop rises to the top. It is connected to a unique library. The customer can enter through the library or through a different door along a street of many other restaurants and businesses. You have a good feeling immediately after entering the coffee shop. It is smaller, which gives customers a cozy feel, and there are high ceilings. The furniture inside the place carries an environmentally friendly vibe. The style in the coffee shop is really intriguing, as it is quite artistic and angular in its aesthetic. The crowd generally consists of students and business owners, although there are many other types of people that frequent this shop. They serve fantastic coffee! Customers also have the option of ordering organic coffee or tea, which tastes great! I really enjoy the soy latte. The latte is creamy and the espresso is very smooth. I enjoy the beautiful latte art they incorporate into my latte. This establishment also carries neat coffee sleeves that are made of corkscrew. They look really classy and made for customers to keep as a souvenir. The Coffee Ethic also makes muffins that are out of this world. They are served with a pretty wrapper around them. One of my favorite muffins is banana-flavored, with nutella in the center. They just added a lunch menu, which carries a vegetarian option. I have yet to try the lunch, but am looking forward to it! West Springfield Car Care Can Fix It For A Fair Price In Springfield, VA

Posted by Keri W. on December 29, 2009
Personal Transportation / No Comments

West Springfield Car Care, located in Springfield, Virginia, is very conveniently located about fifteen miles South of Washington, D.C. I have used this place several times for oil changes, to replace brakes and shocks, to do vehicle inspections and emissions testing as required, and other automobile repairs. They have always done a great job, the vehicle was ready when they promised it would be, and the cost estimate was very close to what the actual bill was. They always offer to give me a no cost estimate before any work is done, and go through exactly what work has to be done at the time for safety reasons. My car recently passed the ninety thousand mile mark, which means it is time for some major maintenance. I contacted the dealership to get an estimate of what the cost would be, then I called West Springfield Car Care for an estimate on the same work. It was amazing, it was more than thirty percent cheaper to have the work done by West Springfield. We have referred several people to this repair shop because we have had such good experiences with them. The staff is knowledgeable, professional and friendly and the service is top notch. I highly recommend checking this auto repair center out, it is a great local find. Find local listings online at globalYP.net.

D’Arcy’s Pint Has Delicious Horseshoes In Springfield, IL

Posted by Keri W. on December 28, 2009
Eating & Drinking Places / No Comments

I have some family that lives in Springfield, so I am there once or twice a year. On my last visit a very nice local (who helped me jump my car after I left the lights on) suggested an Irish pub called D’arcy’s Pint for a horseshoe. I honestly had no idea what a horseshoe was. The name gave me visions of a giant horse hoof on a plate. Curiosity got the best of me and my wife so we took his advice. We got there and the atmosphere of this place is great. There is a patio, the walls have some nice Irish themed décor, and there is plenty of space. My wife and I both ordered a horseshoe. I ordered the supreme and my wife ordered the chilli cheese. It was amazing! It turns out a horseshoe is two hamburger patties on a bun with fries covered in cheese! It was so tasty (albeit, very unhealthy) meal. The menu also consists of several other Irish plates like Celtic Philly Cheese and Dublin Pot Roast. If you are ever in the Springfield area you most certainly should stop at this place and have a horseshoe. It really is at least worth one visit. I highly recommend it. However, it is very crowded on weekends. I would suggest a weekday visit. To find more great places in your area, visit globalYP.net, a local online directory.

Riksha Has Really Great Service In Springfield, MO

Posted by Keri W. on December 22, 2009
Eating & Drinking Places / No Comments

Riksha is a Chinese restaurant in Springfield, Missouri. It’s small in size but that doesn’t take away from the taste. Located in historic downtown Springfield, it has been a landmark for almost twenty years. The atmosphere is quiet and casual and it’s a smoke and alcohol free zone. The people are very friendly and work very hard. You can order to go or sit for a while. Their hours are 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Friday and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday. One friend I know has been going there since he was very young and they still remember him and greet him with a friendly smile. They even know what he’s going to order before he orders it (mostly because he always gets the same thing). Their food portions are not lacking and a meal can fill you up. Their sweet and sour chicken is the best around, though I’m fonder of their pepper steak. If you order extra rice, they certainly aren’t stingy about it. They seem to know what’s needed to accommodate you. Maybe their years of excellent service have brought about a sixth sense in them. Their restaurant is very clean and the tables are usually cleared off right away to make way for other hungry customers. Hopefully they’ll keep this up for years to come. I, for one, hope they do.
