The Book Cellar Has Used Books That Won’t Break The Bank In Crossville, TN

In the approximately 200 miles between Knoxville, Tennessee and Nashville, Tennessee there isn’t exactly a booming metropolis or even a hotbed of activity inasmuch as several quaint little towns simmering with Southern charm. However, moving into Cookeville, Tennessee, about half way between Knoxville and Nashville to attend college there, it would seem a logical conclusion that at least one used bookstore should be in the nearby vicinity. Sadly, there wasn’t a decade ago and there still isn’t. However, I eventually discovered The Book Cellar tucked adorably into a quiet little shopping center only thirty miles away in Crossville, Tennessee. Finally, there was a place a college kid could go to find well kept books without having to take out another student loan just for a paperback or two! Books are expensive, but the Book Cellar doesn’t hurt so much. The Book Cellar has apparently been in Crossville for many, many years, but they have managed to retain the charm and the enchantment that literally opens its doors in warm invitation. Most of the inventory is of the paperback variety, but there is much more than just a stack of paperback romance novels. At the Book Cellar, there isn’t a genre omitted and there is even a growing availability of magazines and other periodicals. Need a reference book or even a textbook? How about the classics or a tome of poetry for a literature class? Or, as even post-collegiate folks will attest, there are a zillion different worlds to which escape is a welcome treat. They’re all at the Book Cellar, too! If you’re having problems finding something, the staff knows just where it is, but more than likely, you’ll find more than you even knew you were looking for. Look for more hidden gems with globalYP.net, yellow pages that are online.

prairiePrairie Lights Books is located in downtown Iowa City and caters to people who still enjoy the feel of a cozy, independent bookstore. In contrast to the huge bookstores, Prairie Lights offers a warm environment in which to enjoy the book buying experience. The laid-back atmosphere adds to a feeling of true enjoyment in deciding which books to select. It also offers a convenient departure for students buying textbooks. Instead of being confronted by a myriad of shelves and stacks of identical books offered by the university bookstores, Prairie Lights offers books for many classes in a much friendlier environment. The staff is always willing and available, and offers invaluable help in finding a book or in deciding whether it is the right one for the person buying it. Attention Hokies! Get Your Texts For Less At Tech Bookstore In Blacksburg,VA

tech_bookstoreBlacksburg, VA’s Tech Bookstore is the best location for Virginia Tech students looking to purchase textbooks for class, school supplies, or Hokie gear to show school spirit! They offer an easy online reservation system to acquire books for class at lower prices than on campus vendors. In addition, the clothing selection is much larger and less expensive than the University-affiliated bookstore or general store. Tech’s employs Tech students, so you know you’re supporting their education and the community. I am a frequent customer of Tech Bookstore and can testify to their fair prices and helpful service. At few establishments have I encountered such a friendly and welcoming staff. Of particular interest to Tech students is the online textbook reservation system, which requires only that you enter the course numbers for your semester’s classes. The store’s site will then compile a list of all required texts and offer to reserve them until you arrive to pick them up. Tech Bookstore also offers a customer loyalty program which can provide large discounts when you make purchases using your loyalty card. In addition to fantastic service, selection, and prices, the inviting and spirited atmosphere in the store ensures that you will want to visit again. I am happy, as a Virginia Tech undergraduate, to recommend Tech Bookstore to all students, alumni, fans, and members of the greater Blacksburg community. To find more places in your community, try searching on globalYP.net, a directory available online.

Campus Books In Bradenton, FL: Because College Is Expensive As It Is

Retail Stores / No Comments

campusbooksCampus Books in Bradenton, FL (at 6027 26th St W) is the cheapest place to buy textbooks off campus. Every time I need a book, instead of buying from the campus bookstore I always go to Campus Books. The store gives me the opportunity to sell back the books I needed for the last semester, so I can have money to buy the books I need for this semester. Also, they carry used books for a lot cheaper, if they have it available, and the used books are always in great condition. There are other school supplies that are located in the store, like pens, pencils, paper, notebooks, folders, mini staplers and many more items that are cheap. You can also find items in the store to help you with your class, for example, Campus Books carries extra books pertaining to the subject that are only five dollars and notes that are written by the author of the book that help you better understand how to use the book in the most helpful way possible. Every time I go into the store there are at least two people that are available to help me and they’re always pleasant. My favorite thing about the store is a television that is mounted in the floor that shows how Campus Books can help you get the best out of your learning experience. For an online directory that will help you get the best out of businesses in your area, visit globalYP.net.

http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_Im3_DDT_eKc/SEjtJlAbu2I/AAAAAAAAB9A/YS76uUnaDqU/s400/books+1.jpgOff Campus Books lies right on the outskirts of the UC Davis campus. With such a close proximity to campus, this bookstore is located in one of the best positions possible for a bookstore. They sell used textbooks for cheaper than can be found in the university bookstore, and buy books for higher prices than the university bookstore as well. The books are categorized by classes the books will be used for during the current school quarter, allowing easy navigation through the large aisles of books. After the University has its finals week, usually there is a bin of used books outside that sell for extremely cheap prices. In other words, if one is not looking to buy a new book, then the Off Campus Bookstore is the better place to search. Not only do they buy and sell textbooks, they also sell a wide assortment of typical school supplies and related items. The Off Campus Bookstore is also well known for their large stock of items catering to the Greek fraternities and sororities. They sell paddles and Greek letters and related products, and also perform embroidering services for shirts and other items. The Off Campus Bookstore is the one-stop place to find textbooks, school supplies, and Greek items all in one easily accessible location. To find more to do around the UC Davis campus, go to GlobalYP, your local yellow pages.

Campus Book Supply in Kent, OH is The Best Source for College Text Books and KSU Apparel

Posted by Amy Wittmeyer on May 23, 2009
Education, Retail Stores / No Comments

http://www.kentcampuscash.com/images/bus_campusbook_shirt13.jpgCampus Book Supply is the hip alternative to the corporate-run generic bookstore in the student center at the Kent State campus. At Campus Book Supply, you will not only find everything you need, but at the best prices while being helped by the friendly staff. The atmosphere is laid back, and you’ll never feel rushed, unlike at the University Bookstore. While not in the center of campus, it’s located right by campus in an easily accessible lot, with ample parking always available. Though initially it might look a little small with limited options, the things that are available will be exactly what you are looking for, especially the college apparel. You’ll leave this store with Kent State pride and wanting to wear the super cute things you just bought. They have decent seasonal sales, and the original prices are definitely also quite affordable. The gear is also good quality, and won’t fade or shrink in the wash. If you are part of a sorority or frat, this is definitely the place to go for gear. Textbooks, however, are a bit limited in stock, but are offered at decent prices if you can get there in time before they are sold out. But if they don’t have it, they’ll gladly order it for you. Overall, it’s the best place to go for your KSU needs. To find more great places around campus, surf GlobalYP.
