The Piazza ice cream parlor in Keene, NH is the best ice cream place in the north-east, in my opinion. Centrally located just across the street from Cumberland Farms and next to Athens Pizza, The Piazza opens in April, closes in October, and serves every type of ice cream you can imagine. Soft Serve? Low Fat Frozen Yogurt? Sugar Free? Hard Ice Cream? Shakes? Sundaes? Cones? Ice cream for your dog? They have everything, and in more flavors that you can imagine. Over 500 flavors of soft serve, and sundae options pasted all over the wall distinguish The Piazza from any normal ice cream place. Your biggest problem – you won’t be able to choose! The staff at The Piazza are young, friendly, and hip, and the rainbow-umbrella tables are packed all summer long. While you may wait in line for upwards of 30 minutes in the middle of the summer, the result is well worth the wait. The prices are reasonable for the size of the sundaes: the Gilsum Gorge for $9.00 can easily feed a family of 4. If you want “sprinkles”, ask for “jimmies”, as you are in Yankee territory.
