Tryst Coffee House Bar & Lounge in Washington, DC is a great coffee shop that mixes the best java with a comfortable atmosphere and good music. Occasionally, I have gone in and the music has been some sort of strange yodeling. But most time, it is a great place to study, meet with friends or pick up a date for the weekend. The coffee shop has a full menu that contains sandwiches, drinks, teas, and their famous coffee. I would recommend trying a bit of everything, as I have yet to eat anything there that was less then delicious. My personal favorite is the chicken pockets. However, make sure you ask for chips on the side as you may have left over salsa. Tryst offers wireless Internet on the weekdays, as people often come in with their laptops to study or do work. It is important to note, however, that they do shut off the free Wi-Fi on the weekends, as it becomes more crowded. The best thing about this place and what makes it so much better from its large chain competitors is its relaxed atmosphere. Customers have the freedom to sit and have a single cup of coffee for two hours if they please. Of course, you may want to tip your waiter or waitress more then the standard twenty percent, if that’s the case! To find more great coffee shops like this, visit globalYP.net, an online directory.
