Hurry To HoiCin Cantonese Restaurant For Authentic Chinese Food In Sacramento, CA

Eating & Drinking Places / No Comments

HoiCin Cantonese Restaurant is located in Sacramento, CA. It is a small establishment that is hard to even notice from the street, but their food is delicious. HoiCin always uses fresh sauces and their selection is excellent. They have a wide variety of dishes that include smoked bass and duck as well as the regular dishes you will find at most Chinese restaurants. They also offer soups and main dishes without meat and offer tofu instead, so vegetarians can have a variety as well. The service at HoiCin is also great. They are friendly and very tolerant of my noisy children every time we visit. They greet you when you walk in and they don’t bother you if you are taking your time to look over the menu. They do not rush you and they always bring your food quickly. Hoicin only has a single unisex bathroom but it is always very clean and well stocked with toilet paper and paper towels. The seating inside the restaurant is overstuffed chairs and round tables, which make it feel more comfortable and roomy. Their floor and counters are always clean, and the decorations are simple but very appealing. HoiCin’s prices are a little higher than most average Chinese restaurants but the food is well worth it. The food is a great value for the price even though their servings aren’t huge. I’ve gotten more food for less money at other Chinese restaurants but the quality is so much better at HoiCin’s. So If you are looking for a comfortable place to have a delicious, authentic Chinese meal for a great price, HoiCin Cantonese Restaurant in Sacramento, CA is the place to go. If you’re looking for an easy to use online directory, globalYP.net is the place to go.

The Santa Cruz Diner, A Local Gem In Santa Cruz, CA

the santa cruz dinerThe Santa Cruz Diner in Santa Cruz, CA is a popular local diner with a great selection of hearty, home-style food. The staff is friendly, genuine and always busy. I have gone to the Santa Cruz Diner multiple times and I always get something different because I am confident that I will like it. My favorite is the vegetarian eggs Benedict. In general, dishes are about seven to ten dollars and are served in huge portions. The menu is broad, spanning from breakfast, which is served all day, to Asian food, crepes, and hamburgers. There are plenty of alternative low-fat and vegetarian options, as well as a healthy seafood selection. The seafood they serve is brought in fresh on a daily basis. The outside of the diner seems bland, but the inside is rather eclectic, giving you plenty to look at and amuse yourself with while you wait. The walls are littered with signs and trinkets, including a large shark and a giant cheeseburger. There is also a small kid’s area with toys. The bar is almost always free when the wait for a table is too long. As far as restaurant bars go, this one is pretty comfortable to sit at, with plenty of space between the stools. The Santa Cruz Diner is a very local restaurant and it prides itself on that. The truth is you just cannot find better diner food around town! kobe steaks japanese restaurantKobe Steaks Japanese Restaurant in Atlanta, GA is the home of the best steak you will eat in your entire life! The restaurant serves lunch Monday through Friday and dinner every day of the week. The restaurant serves traditional Japanese food. You start your meal with green tea, soup, and ginger salad. Then, you are served fried rice and a shrimp appetizer. Next, you are served your entrée along with vegetables that include broccoli, zucchini, mushrooms, onions, and bean sprouts. You may end your meal with green tea ice cream or pineapple sherbet. The food is prepared hibachi style, on a grill right in front of you. The Kobe steak filet mignon is the best steak you will ever eat. It is so tender that you can cut it with your fork. The filet mignon is high quality meat that has the texture of butter. It is soft and highly flavorful. Some other excellent entrees include the shrimp, scallops, or chicken. The salmon and shrimp with lemon butter is delicious. The salmon is has a nice crust, with a soft inside that is topped with the most flavorful butter sauce. For vegetarians, the vegetable dinner entrée includes tofu, carrots, and potatoes as your “meat.” You must try some teriyaki sauce on your fried rice and you must dip your broccoli in the red seafood sauce. Taste Perfected Over The Years At India Palace Restaurant In San Antonio, TX

india palace restaurantIndia Palace Restaurant in San Antonio, TX has been my ‘home away from home’ for at least twenty years. I dined there the day it opened and almost never left. It has been owned and managed by only two families since the 1980s and has continuously maintained a standard of excellence with a welcoming family atmosphere. With the passage of time, the growing customer base eventually made expansion more of a necessity than just a wise business move. Fortunately, a larger suitable space became available at the right place and the right time. The ‘new and improved’ India Palace is roomy with a light, inviting freshness. There is also an outside patio for fresh air dining or simply enjoying a cup of chai. It is a magnet for local and international medical personnel and students. When stating that a restaurant serves typical or standard Indian fare it is not always a bad thing. This is what we want and would be disappointed if it were not available. From the rich Chicken Tikka Masala to Vegetarian dishes, to humble Basmati rice and everything in between. The food is hot, fresh and delicious. They are open daily from 11:00am-10:00pm, with a buffet or a la carte items available for lunch and dinner. To find delicious restaurants like this, visit globalYP.net, an online directory.

There’s Nothing Better Than Sushi Naniwa In Chicago, IL

Posted by Keri W. on March 01, 2010
Eating & Drinking Places / No Comments

I live in Chicago, IL and there are tons of Japanese sushi restaurants in town. This is a good thing because I love sushi. Out of all the restaurants in town, the absolute best has to be Sushi Naniwa. I can say this with confidence because I’ve visited all of them! I’ve been to Sushi Naniwa several times now and each visit was impressive. They have the highest quality ingredients and the friendliest staff. The decor in the restaurant is incredible and you can definitely tell a lot of care has been put into selection to make the experience feel right. The servers here are very prompt and it never takes long for them to bring out your food. They also refill glasses and mugs without you having to tell them to. If it gets low they’ll automatically do it. It’s very impressive how on top of things they are. The sushi itself is the best part, of course. The ingredients always taste really delicious. For example, the shrimp rolls are scrumptious. The shrimp is soft, moist, and well seasoned. They also have an amazing line of vegetarian options such as cucumber and carrot rolls. This is great because my husband is vegetarian! He really likes the sushi here so it makes me very happy this is a place he can eat with me at. Dig Into Unique Creations At Dean-O’s Pizza In Lafayette, LA

I only get back to Lafayette about once a year, and there are so many wonderful seafood options that it might seem tough to justify having one of my precious few meals at a pizza joint. It might seem tough, unless you have ever experienced the magnificence that is Dean-O’s Pizza! Alright, that sounds a little exaggerated, but Dean-O’s really does have some of the best pizza you will ever taste. Best of all, you won’t really be missing out on Cajun food if you’re on a short visit, because Dean-O’s best pizzas have definite Louisiana style and flair! My personal favorite has got to the Marie Leveau, with sautéed onions, peppers, and mounds of delicious crab meat. It’s a seafood feast and a pizza all at once! Another great option is the Cajun Executioner, loaded with hot Cajun sausage, shrimp, and peppers. If you’re a true carnivore, go for the T-Rex, loaded with just about every kind of meat imaginable. Dean-O’s has a different specialty pizza every month, and they’re always worth checking out – they add nice surprise and variety to an already excellent and varied menu. If you’re feeling responsible, go for the whole wheat, “guiltless” pizza. They also have some nice vegetarian options. Bottom line: for wonderful, abundant, affordable pizza in a homey, pleasant atmosphere, you just can’t beat Dean-O’s! For local business listings available online you can’t beat globalYP.net.

Try A Delicious Vegetarian Meal This Valentine’s Day At Cafe Blossom In NYC

Posted by tluke on February 12, 2010
Eating & Drinking Places, Valentine's Day / No Comments

Cafe BlossomI have eaten at Cafe Blossom several times already, so my partner and I decided that this restaurant is great place to celebrate special occasions. The Cafe Blossom is a vegetarian and vegan friendly restaurant based in NYC. Cafe Blossom is so popular, there are two other Blossom Restaurants located around New York. In the past, my partner and I have gone to celebrate several different occasions there. These times have all been during different seasons, and we have always found the food exceptional and perfect for the season. In the winter, their soups are perfect for warming you up. For example, this fall I had the Butternut Squash Soup which was delicious and helped take the chill off. We’ve also had the Seitan Skewers, which were very good. Cafe Blossom has a wonderful array of entrees, each filling and substantial. The plating is beautiful to see, specifically the Four Onion Risotto. If you are looking to save some money, I would recommend the various sandwiches available. The Southern Seitan sandwich is a mouthwatering take on southern BBQ with a delicious mix of onion and avocado served on warm foccacia bread. Also, the Soy Bacon Cheeseburger is great meat free alternative to the traditional burger, plus it contains vegan cheese, which is a great find. The Cafe also has a wide variety of juices, teas and smoothies. Plus, don’t leave without trying one of the great desserts! Give Cafe Blossom a try for your Valentine’s Day! Mariposa Food Co-op Is The Perfect Local Market In Philadelphia, PA

Posted by Keri W. on February 01, 2010
Community & Government, Eating & Drinking Places, Retail Stores / No Comments

Mariposa Food Co-op is a local, member-owned grocery store. Mariposa’s small storefront in West Philadelphia is the central location in the neighborhood for organic and local grocery shopping. You will find local and organic produce, dairy, and eggs at competitive prices. The store is a worker and member only cooperative, so in order to shop, you have to become a member. Membership requires two hours of work per month unless you qualify for an exemption. You’re also required to pay dues and a deposit, but it is a small price to pay for ownership of a business and access to healthy food. The staff is friendly and helpful and most workers you encounter are actually members just like you. The business sometimes seems like more of a community center than a store. It’s hard to grocery shop without running into a friend. Can you say that about Whole Foods? Mariposa offers an abundance of vegetarian food even though the store is not specifically vegetarian. There are also vegan desserts from popular vegan bakeries such as Vegan Treats in Bethlehem and South Port Fishington in Fishtown. Fresh baked bread is available from local, healthy bakeries such as Four Worlds Bakery and Slow Rise Bakery. GlobalYP.net has yellow pages available online.
